This is a bit off topic, but I reckon the Australian motorist is being played for a sucker. While on our recent whizz around the UK it became obvious to me that there is a much bigger range of EV's and ICE's than we see here. Most of the London taxis are electric and there are EV charging stations spread around most of the side streets. You can only park in a charging station if you are actually charging.
It's not like the Americans have never invented a way to start a war, just so they can get a fuel supply. You never know, they might even unlock some of there own oil reserves that have been locked up for a while.
The trouble is, you can't always believe what you read anymore, but I'm sure the the Donald has a plan.
Cheers

There are a lot of EV brands and models within each brand available in Australia, if you look, there are 51 manufacturers listed on the Australian Electric vehicle forum, each with their own discussion group ..... and Rolls Royce aren't even listed, they must come under the 52 heading, others EVs

I just checked through that list Terry, I would say that at a stretch, I've seen maybe 10 of those brands on Australian roads.
I did see an EV Rolls in London, and a Jaguar too. Both of them reminded me of a boxy SUV.

Often, it's not until you see one up close or actually ride in one, till you start spotting them on the road. Margaret said she had never seen an MG4, until I had the written off one with front right damage and no grille or bumper, delivered to the yard ..... but still didn't click until I bought the second one that had rear end damage ..... took her a while to recognise what the car looked like as a complete package ....

When we bought the new one and she drove it back to Mannum ... like a lunatic kid in the their first performance vehicle, she said she saw 3 of them on the way home

The Donald has finally said something that I agree with.
No, not the f bomb. Even though that's probably my most used word in general conversation.
The fact that the Jews and the Muslims have been fighting for so long, that they have forgotten what they are fighting about in the first place.
I believe it's the same for most of those cultures that just fight constantly. Payback and retribution, even though nobody can remember why it all started.

The old farmer is getting concerned that his old rooster, Joe isn’t up to the job of keeping up with bigger flock of breeding hens he’s running now, so he decides to get 3 more younger roosters.

The old farmer had always used data analysis when it came to culling and upgrading his hens, so he decided to use a bell system to track how the roosters were going.

Each rooster had his own distinct bell sound, and old Joe was no exception. Joe might have been a favorite, but, business is business.

First thing in the morning, he lets the 4 roosters loose in the big white hen house, to have their way with the hens, then sits down with his pad and pencil to keep score just by identifying the ring tones … he doesn’t want to be in there to affect the results, experience learnt from the egg laying data collection.

Sure enough, there is frantic ringing from the 3 new Roosters, but not a sound from old Joe’s bell ….. after an hr or so, still no sound from Joe’s bell, very disheartened, he enters the hen shed to gather up old Joe and do what needed to be done …. No free loading on this farm, even though the old farmer had become very fond of old Joe, and his numbers had been good up to this point …..but data is data …..

When he enters the shed, he is shocked to find all 3 of his new roosters running backwards and forwards, chasing hens but not actually catching any to do the deed …… then he spots old Joe, bell held tightly in his beak and getting the job done on a somewhat startled hen, then onto the next ….

He is so pleased with how well old Joe had adapted to the challenge, he wrote an article and had it published in the fowl breeding Journal ….

Old Joe was awarded both the “No Bell Peace Prize” and the “Pullet Surprise” for his outstanding achievements …….

The morale to the story, with an old Rooster in the white house, you’ll still get shafted but at least be productive, but, with a chicken that likes to ring his bell, even eggs are out of the question ....

The fighting over to control of "The Holy Land." Both religions have their zealots https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/z ... ut%20doubt.
Both religions are based in the same cities and towns, if the Muslims owned more American big businesses and control over big money in the USA, America would be backing the Muslims against the Jews ..... it's not surprising DJT doesn't understand the deep seated reason for the hostilities ....... just add that to all the other things he doesn't understand .... like economics, trade balance and how to deal with facts and reality

I was just reading a news article about the "Big Beautiful Bill" being put before the senate, is different to the one passed in the house .... the senate bill is an extra $400,000 USD .... Are the rules regarding a bill being passed by both houses, not the same as in Australia? Or are they trying to get an even worse bill through the senate to then have it rubber stamped by the house?
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/th ... bd81a&ei=9

Now they are trying the rush approach, pass the bill or you won't get the 4th July break .....

Maybe DJT is starting to panic, loss of popularity faster than any previous US President, the number of impeachment cases piling up against him along with all the court challenges, and mid terms coming up where they will surely lose any majority and nothing will get passed and an impeachment will be that much easier ......
