The $37 Bargain hire car turned into an $81 outlay, to avoid the $15,500 excess .... yeah, the cost of a replacement car ..... turns out, it was a good choice, scrapped the paint on the left hand corner of the front bumper reversing into a very narrow laned spot in a very old parking station ...... they won't get that fixed for $44 .... but then, I know they won't actually get it fixed anyway ..... but at least I avoided that drain on the bank account .... the $81 plus $5 worth of fuel I used, would have covered a few taxi rides ....
Getting back home was another exercise in patience, getting to the rail stn to get the train to the Illawarra line, took longer than planned, so I missed the connecting train by 3 mins, so another hr waiting for the next train ..... meant Margaret was up until close to midnight waiting for the phone all that the train was leaving Wollongong ..... then it stopped at every stn from there to Oak Flats
The crazy thing, the train was very close full, all double deck carriages and 10 of them
