Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

You can get a wheel smith to build what ever off set you need. So, if you get the right stud pattern to bolt on to the axle and take the other wheel that does fit properly so they know the off set, they will modify the wheel to match,
or
Take the correct wheel to them and ask them to make another to fit .... well two really, so you have a spare ......

Deborah,

Ask them these questions please?

What is the wheel diameter. mm
What is the wheel width. mm
What is the PCD. mm
What is the hub hole diameter. mm
What is the offset. mm
How many stud holes.

What is the wheel load rating. kgs

If you can get those details, then we can all look for the wheels. They must be about, just need to find them. You may even have the details from when you bought the van.

Deborah we did this phone thing with putting the 1831 in front of the number you want and so G rang me on his mobile to my mobile and when it rang it only showed up as PRIVATE number. try it with someone you know (but not through contacts) do the whole number via keypad. Now re yesterday that went to space, went to my GP and she has referred me to my back man (same day as G on the 16th July) Sweet talking me to specialist he actually remembered me after nearly 20 yrs  G is to have an MRI next week and I am guessing he will also send me for one as well. The new diesel heater arrived and G put it this morning and it is working nicely. G has had no probs after the steroid jab Thursday. Also took the receipt for those chicken kebabs back no worries $$ refunded. Oh also yesterday on way home G got a stick vac from Aldi as he will be using it and they never say no to a refund plus he got a cheap slow cooker from K mart and also a compact portable blender for my smoothies. No need for a jug to do them in just the one thing. How was that for a spending spree? Did the op shop again, took 4 bags of clothing and my dads Yakka overalls x 2 I only bought 2 DVD's @20 cents each and a pottery bowl for one of my Hoyas. The TDF is starting tonight and it should be a good one, go the POG. Footy team lost again so the same old thing is "Better luck next year" Hope Shirley has power by now , we had a notice that ours will be off next Tues but the Genny will be going ;) (just for Prof T1) Watching the tennis until the BOB come on. Stay safe and warm and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight NP and critters x :D

Did all that with the Mazda 3500, received the replacement wheel, had the new tyre fitted to it and put it in for the spare.
Came time to use the spare, just fitted over the studs but the wheel nuts couldn't tighten down into the countersunk holes, the pitch dia was different by mms. The person who had measured the distance from each stud hole to the centre, must have used a tape measure with the sliding end piece, rather than measuring from the 100mm mark.
Ended up limping to a workshop to get them to swap the tyre onto the rim with the blown out tyre so we could tighten the wheel properly and head home again.

Deborah, can you post a pic of the wheel on the other side of your van, please. Someone might be able to identify what the wheel is from. Or alternatively, tell the repairers to get a pair of suitable wheels. I think they are pulling your chain.
Cheers

Dot, good luck with your back man...another set of accounts for extra, over medicare money? xxxx

Thanks everyone for asking. You lot are definitely good to me.
We had a very long phone call with our son (a mechanic) who spent a lot of time trying to work out exactly what we need. I had become so confused with the parts name, simply because the idiot receptionist at the caravan place, kept using all the wrong terms. I sent him the parts list of things that they will be ordering in and it's obvious that they are having trouble sourcing the correct wheel. Apparently 15x7inch wheels are not in fashion at the moment and the original which was made by Dynamic is not in production. After half an hour with him, he has given me his approved tyres n wheels, for us to go to the local Bob Jane and purchase. They have these wheels in stock and I may have to wait for them to come from Sydney, but that's still better than a six week wait. If the van has to be towed to a closer repairshop, I will not be unhappy. Yes, this mob have just been dragging us along and I am pretty damned near furious over their behaviour. I wish I had received the parts list earlier, as this is what made me start to think the ignoramous sechetary (I should call her Betty) was having a go. I will have to check what the actual tyre size is before I order tyres, but that's not that difficult to get from the caravan twits.

Sleep tight you lot xxx

Good morning Dot, we were 3 days without power, the power line came down at noon on Tuesday, it was hanging high enough across the road for cars to drive under, fortunately we live on a peninsula, no higher vehicles arrived, Ausgrid arrived late Tuesday arvo & secured same safely, after many, many phone calls & promises they finally arrived 11am Friday, 3 men 3 vehicles, took 1 hour to have our power restored. 😡

Shirley 3 days with no power is a bit rough, what about your fridge / freezer etc how did you manage? I have just got off the phone from a 2 1/2 chat to my NZ mate she has been having the same weather as NSW. She is cranky because she is being taxed at 33% for $$ she has in her bank from proceeds of her land sale. Watching the BOB's and there have been some prangs already. I am off to a nice warm bed now. Take care if on the roads and all the sickies get better soon. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x :D

Dot, yes that warm bed is having a huge pull here too. Hope it's nice n snuggly for the boys watching xxxx

Shirley, you certainly lucked out with the power. It seems like a lot of your area were without power almost as long as you were. A friend in Gwanderland (not sure of spelling, oops) only had her power restored on Friday morning. Her next door was returned a lot sooner, so she used their power for charging the phone and boiling the kettle. Back to the dark ages for us. Hope you got to throw a few balls down today in the glorious sunshine.

The glorious sunshine was suddenly lost, late afternoon with a lot of very bright lightning, not much thunder and a few big spits of rain. From the views that we had, someone has copped a mighty big, loud storm. Happily, it missed us totally.

I spent a lot of of today, going through the new "business" boxes and creating lists of what is in each box. I computed labels for the edges of the boxes to help me to get the right things into the correct packaging. Each style of plate needs different shaped packing, so the right box is important.

After that was done, I sat down at the piano and had some quiet time. It's been a long time since I was in the mood to have a bash at the keys, and boy I am rusty. Just getting the hands to do what the printed music tells them to do, is a bit out of kilter. It was nice to have some quiet me time. It has been months since I ventured down to my shed, so I am hoping that my muse returns soon. I do have some projects wanting to be created, but the right frame of mind is essential.

night all xxx

Deborah I just read that Norah Head, Toukley, Gorokan, Budgewoi, Charmhaven all experienced severe hail storm Sunday evening, lucky it missed us.

The eldest g’son ran a power lead from my son’s boat shed, kept the fridge/ freezer going & one small lamp, we set up a 2 burner gas stove, 2 kerosene lamps, the hot water bottles were good it was so cold, the long hot shower Friday evening was good, one of the pleasures of life :D
Been playing catch up all weekend, plenty of washing & housework, no bowls, playing the Heizer shield on Tuesday.

Good morning everyone, time to try & sleep 💤 💤off to Newcastle today.
