N. C. George, That was the same amount of time they gave me to see the geriatrician (12 mths) but if you keep ringing them weekly and asking them to put you on the cancellation list you most likely get seen earlier.

I went and had my blood tests... they didn't tell me I had to pee in the jar... normally they give you the receptacle to do the job in before you arrive.... bugga I peed out before I went...
No hope of any more for a few hours...so I had to go home and wait ..I also was to go to the chemist for pills...so I done both jobs...the chemist..
He'd a good bloke.... asked me if I had enough pills to get me to next Monday... I'll be on the safety net and FREE
I did so all's good till next week.
That bit of edging needed one more coat of stain... which herself done...so it will be attached today sometime.
I cleaned up around the newly referbed saw bench, and today I'll cut up some Fletchers with it .to fire place size.

Morning all,

very windy last night. Starting to pack the bus ready for Mundi. Plus the little cradle thingy arrived for Starlink. I'll mount it to the roof when the LAN cable arrives.

Had my appointment and must say I have been happy with my original aids purchased over 3 years ago. Was not a pensioner so with private heath rebate still cost me near $2k.

With the pension I get the government ones for free which my bloke told me are several levels above my current ones. They are also digital and wireless so he can connect my phone for incoming and out calls.

Seems a good deal, they all so have a add on where for $53.45 you get all your batteries for a year and insurance for your aids if you loose them or they are damaged.

Overall happy with this mornings appointment. Cheers Robert

T1thank you for your reply will see how these go when I pick them up next Monday. Never know by the time three years are up the government new ones may not need batteries either cheers.

Worth buying the thing that adapts the hearing aids to the TV as well, a whole new appreciation of some of the quick one liner humour shows

Morning everyone.
No rain here
We rubbed down one of the benches and Carol will be putting a final clear coat on sometime today.
Now...I went to start the motorhome yesterday to run it up on some blocks to give me some more wiggle room..
But it didn't start not even a light on the dash...so after much swearing I removed all the stuff out of the way to get to the batteries... one of the start batteries is dead flat showing only 4 and a bit volts the other showing in the top of the 12s, the dead one probably starting to drag it down... they are identical batteries and 12 months out of warranty... bummer... Any thoughts on why one would just die ??
