Re: Good morning daily
Sunny day in the Riverland also and no wind. Very cold yesterday, overcast and no rain again. Fitting new led strip lights in the camp kitchen today as only about half of the old ones were working and it was a bit darkish at night cooking a BBQ. Might also take the drivers seat out of the Ranger and repair the damaged entry wing. ( or do it tomorrow ) Cheers John

Have you thought about mounting the wheels so they sit under the corners, but can be flipped up when the bend is in use ...... so it doesn't roll around when pulling/push or just trying to move stuff on the bench topBernieQ2 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 6:12 am Good morning.
Djdja get the Winnie down the be back Dave?.
I finished all the welding on the bench, just need some metal for the top and maybe some form board for the shelf... plus I'll have to buy wheels when next in the big smoke....
I bought two motion lights last week... one won't work so I sent an email to the seller... bingo... money being refunded... that was quick.
Nothing planned for today yet.

Just a piece of flat plate that the wheels mount on and a simply hinge so the leg can sit on the flat plate or the plate fold up so it's at 90* to the leg and the wheel facing up .... probably so the wheel is under the bench when folded up to avoid trip hazards ......

Re: Good morning daily
Raining here today, didn't really get to sleep until around 5 am .... and without the hearing aids in, unless I was outside, I wouldn't know if it was raining or not, so no idea how long it's been raining ...... fortunately the concrete driveway won't get too soft so I shouldn't get bogged

"tanks" here- BQ2
The Wyalkatchem earthquake was at 02:35 am, and I didn't wake up for it. I must have had a good night's sleep. Now waiting for any after-shock. No damage and I'm safe and sound.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

It will be a tad heavy when the top plate is welded on, plus the form board and the welder plus whatever gets chucked on...and maybe a vice just locking wheels will do the job .

Re: Good morning daily
G'day. Been a bit busy today. I've been visiting a mate that has to make a cuppla hard decisions in the next few days. So we had a coffee and a bit of a chat.
Winny is still out the front. Maybe tomoz. Maybe not. Well see, but it's looking good.
It turned out a bright, sunny and windy day today. Just what the yard needed.
Safe travels everybody.
Edit. Bernie maybe leave the legs open at the bottom for the time being. You'll soon work out if you need wheels or not.

Re: Good morning daily
I believe both Dave and Joh have seen my welding table when T1 Lithium was still a workshop ..... that was a solid welding table ..... had to be moved around with either next doors forklift or the overhead crane to tip it over on the side so the trolley jack could be positioned under the table edge and 4 wheel equipment moving platforms under the two legs still on the ground ..... it still moved around on the floor without wheels under it when getting physical moving steel bits back into position if a frame distorted when welding it up .......BernieQ2 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 4:10 pmSeems a bit of over engineering Terry.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 12:50 pmHave you thought about mounting the wheels so they sit under the corners, but can be flipped up when the bend is in use ...... so it doesn't roll around when pulling/push or just trying to move stuff on the bench topBernieQ2 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 6:12 am Good morning.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all.
Not so cool here this morning... which is good
I'm pretty sure I won't need either a forklift or overhead crane to move my bench... Dave it needs wheels it won't slide on the concrete once finished...I stole the design from another
but mines a foot longer... that wheel that is sitting on top of the bench is about the size I'm aiming for... but not that one...it was from another system I needed back on the farm...
Carol is going to have her first physio today for her knee she is having more pain with this knee than the first one.
I think she has over done the exercises...
It will be midday by the time we get back from that...so there goes today.
Where are you Dot... not like you to be quite...
You finally got a good night's sleep Keith...and slept through a earthquake 🫨
Keep safe.

I reckon Keith may have taken comfort, thinking/dreaming that it was the garbage truck.
Josh's big day today. Here's hoping.
