Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning All. 24* with 28* forecast.

I am Knackered due to the fact that I began the day by climbing onto the garage roof and cleaning the the 22 solar panels which had recently been covered with dirt and bird crap.
I then decided to clean the bus roof and the 4 solar panels which it has. I then had to clean the sides of the bus due to the dirt which ran down from the roof.

I had in mind to do some checking of the bus batteries also but have decided to have a rest and see if I'm up to it later in the day however, it may be too hot.

I have no wish to climb on any roof without a safety harness, after hearing about your trip off the roof and using a brick wall the break your fall ..... what are you doing climbing on roofs after the number of sudden stops you've had after climbing on things and falling off .... eventually the bones no longer heal properly and the rapid downward slope begins ......

Maybe build a drone to do the job ;) Then you can cover fuel costs for your next Taggerty trip ..... no point me doing that, there just aren't enough solar panels to clean to cover the cost of the fuel for the Winnie

Good morning.
Temperature outside yesterday only got to 34..3 less than the day before... and it's already 22 and overcast.

I had in mind to do bugga all yesterday till herself uttered those magic words..."I've been thinking"...
So now the bark hut has a backdoor 😮 she said it would be easy for me to do...more magic words 🤔 only take half an hour..
Yer right.... several hours later...it now has a back door..
Apparently she is going to buy a small green house from the big green shed... and wants it to be outside the rear of the bark hut... picture to follow...
She's not up yet so I'm safe for now 😁..
Nervously I say I'm having the day off...
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Morning all.

Good to see that Carol is still full of ideas.

When I was at Pilliga, I met a fella from last year there. Really good bloke. Coincidently, he and 3 other mates arrived the day after this year too.

After I left, one tripped up and cut himself up pretty bad. Had to go to the hospital. Then, a day or so later, another had a stroke.

He passed a few days later. They are old primary school buddies from 60 years ago. Gee it was fun listening to 60 years of stories.

Good morning everyone. It's a bit blowy here this morning and there is a bit of cloud about, so it will be a good day to clean the bugs off the front of the Winny. I might even polish the bullbar, or not.
I have a bit of medical stuff to get done first though. Blood test and ultrasound. Might get a walk, in there somewhere.
I just remembered that when Jon and I were wandered down the road less travelled I was lucky enough to see a couple of Jabiru in a bit of swampy ground somewhere south of Boonah. They would have been the most southerly that I have ever seen. But I have seen Brolgas down near Berrigan in the Riverina.
Have a top day everybody, safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

Yesterday was a good day, we had replaced our AV receiver for the home theatre on Friday and advertised it Monday. First looker bought so that is gone. Then I had a a new Potjie pot for my camp oven cooking but never used. Once again first responder bought no problems.

No another four camp ovens to advertise and the sort out the rest of the stuff to go. Daughter has said clean up as she does not want to do it when I go and rather get rid of it to a user who appreciates it.

Still have to fix the last water leak in the van system then replace the AC unit and fix the awning. Sounding a bit like T 1 with all the jobs to do.

Stay save a good travelling folks. Cheers Robert.

Gunna make another attempt at getting Margaret to the RAH for her mid day procedure appointment ..... and pick up the gas tanks while I'm down that way ..... then find somewhere to have a sleep while I wait for the phone call to pick her up 8-)

At least one good thing came of it, after so many frustrating attempts to get the stairs to fold up, I just shut the door and hope the vibrations would sort it .... A 4 X 4 with a big trailer. decided he needed most of the road, including my side .... that the Winnie barely fits in at best, resulting in the steps hitting a tree .... FFS ... they were broken anyway .... at the next 3 km stop, I heard the steps squeaking and groaning as the deployed .... seem they decided it was safer under the Winnie after all

Should be written like this Jon
understand
I guess Ray will be along soon to point out a few of the other finer parts of the post ;)

The steps required me to stand outside and lift/push/kick the steps while opening and closing the screen door to get them to deploy or retract, then somehow getting up high enough to put my arm through the access hole to reach the switch to stop them from deploying again when I opened the door for me to get in .... then pry myself up onto the first step in the Winnie, then reach around to get the two doors to pull them shut .....

That worked for the first 4 radiator refills, the knees where going to have none of me even attempting that the fifth time after stepping out into very soft dirt scraped up by the road working people to form a sort of road edge, sinking/sliding and twisting both knees in the process ..... so they closed as much as they attempted without my outside assistance ...... but they are much better educated now after the tree caught to front edge/corner of the step and gave it a good clout ...... the direction of travel should have stuffed them all together, so maybe it was more as I swung to the left and caught the tree, all at the same time ..... but they actually go in and out now
