Nigel was right Jon, spectacular thunder and lightning from late afternoon into the night, I'm camping with friends across the lake from Forster and we finally got the rain just after 8pm.
A bit of wind with it but no hail but big drops of rain for an hour or so which has refreshed things a bit.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning, it’s very overcast & cloudy this morning with S/E very light breeze, low chance of 1mm rain, we only received 2.8mm since 9am yesterday.
Shade house looks good Bernie, would suit my orchids, might get more involved in gardening when I’m to old to bowl
at the moment don’t have time.
Lovely flower display Ray, enjoy the rest of Spring.

Yes, Nigel is quite famous for his accuracy. Especially known in the art world for his knowledge about post WW2 Japanese artists.Nigel was right Jon, spectacular thunder and lightning from late afternoon into the night, I'm camping with friends across the lake from Forster and we finally got the rain just after 8pm.

Good morning everyone
yesterday was spent cleaning up the bark hut , everything isn't where it was
... plus more shade cloth on the eastern side... mowing never got a look in
..
That storm looked promising...but... didn't all around us plus lightning and thunder
..
I think Carol wants to go see our son today...I'm not keen on the idea...we only seen him last Sunday
..
And it's bacon and eggs day..

If I'm lucky I may get to see the bike race later today..
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
What sort of time is this for being up and about
Off to do my part for the Bay to Birdwood rally as a mobile charging station for a 1948 Singer Ute converted to EV and a BMW 2002, last yrs EV conversion class winner, so they can make the whole distance comfortably ..... The BMW is being driven by Sally the president of the SA AEVA chapter, not the actual owner/converter, so she just isn't sure ..... the Singer Ute is waiting for a replacement battery to arrive so is travelling on the s/h 10 yr old small battery pack he used for the initial conversion ..... so it's an unknown quantity .....
Should be a fun, but rather hot, day out with a heap of old cars

Re: Good morning daily
It's almost good afternoon time, but I kinda went into shock after seeing T1 post while it was probably still dark in Mannum.
Not much to report today, just doing a bit of cooking and maybe some window cleaning.
Have a top day everybody, safe travels.

Re: Good morning daily
What a day, exhausted now. The little Singer got 2nd place to a professionally converted BMW 2002 in the converted EV class.
It was quite a sight following the line of traffic behind the little Singer clambering up the hill sections, then watch it take off down the other side faster than it would have ever gone as a petrol powered unit
At 48v, not actually a powerhouse, but it was ironic passing all the petrol cars on the side of the road with the bonnet up and the RAA doing a top job of getting one going and travelling maybe a km up the road to get another 2 or 3 all within 100 mtrs of each other, just at the top of a hilly part, and the little Singer crawling up the hill and past them, getting all the waves
We past maybe 12 cars like that in the 30kms from Modbury to Birdwood.
What a turn out of absolutely meticulously restored vehicles, the range and the dress ups all period correct ...... If you are ever in the Adelaide area in Oct, it is a must see event

Re: Good morning daily
I bet you had a terrific day Terry.
My parents owned one of those Singer cars from about 1950 to 1957. Mum, Dad & 4 kids!
I bet it wasn't electric back then though!!
Did you grab a photo of it at all?
