Had a huge storm last night, winds over 120kph and today, a yacht about 10m long was washed up on the shore. Turns out it's a S/S yacht and the bloke didn't have a clue how to get it off the beach, the keel had dug into the sand but it was moving in the small waves, so only the beach side of the keel was trapped and the waves were keeping the sand from engulfing the keel completely. He said he was going to get a tug from Hobart to tow it off, but I suggested he get in his dinghy, put the anchor in and take it out as far as he could, them put strain on the anchor so his boat doesn't wash further onto the sand and when the tide come in wind the anchor winch in so it pulls the bow round into the waves and then he can winch it off the beach as the tide rises using the motor and anchor. High tide today is about 1m, so he would have a chance of it working
Be interesting to see if he got it off tomorrow.
How was the re-floating NP
Don't know Bernie, haven't been to the beach since, had non stop rain until last night and today heading for Hobart to get some probiotics for my dog Dax. He was given antibiotics for a nose infection he picked up with all his sniffing and reacted badly to it, now he can't eat and has lost heaps of weight so have been force feeding him.
Vets are useless don't seem to have a clue and just want to prescribe more useless drugs, so did my own research and discovered the antibiotic causes anorexia by destroying his gut and can have bad psychological effects on him, other than that he's in great condition but have to force his mouth open to get some food into him. It's only soupy food he can take as he throws up solids and was very miserable, friend gave him some CBD pet oil which he was giving his dog who had cancer and that made a great difference to his pain levels. He's much more relaxed and comfortable, but weakened from lack of food and Bindi is extremely worried about him, she lies close to him and watches his every move.
I ordered some pet CBD oil and it arrived yesterday, so he won't have to suffer whilst try to alleviate the problems caused by the drugs. Amazing 3 drops of CBD oil and his condition charges within an hour and it doesn't get him stoned, so he's relaxed and seems pain free to the point where he now goes outside and lies in the sun and interacts with my neighbours dogs even barking at them when they are playing round him.
Read giving him probiotics should help his gut problem and allow him to eat solids, will try that and hope it turns things around otherwise he will die from lack of food, or have to pit him down and hate doing that it's so traumatic and sad.
