Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

And a good night to all those that aren't going through the stress our relationship is at the movement, nor the mental torture that robs a good night's sleep ..... I envy you ...

Happy holidays Dot.xxxx

Shirley, you can keep the ducks out, but a few still visit us occasionally and we never have a snail problem. Just wish that I could train the ducks to eat stink bugs.

Our weekend sales have been good whilst not record breaking for this event, for us they were draught breaking. We are finally in the black for a weekend. The cost of the stall is a lot less and we had that covered by lunchtime Saturday and every sale was a good one. I gave discounts on most sales and that encouraged them to keep purchasing. All went well and we are both exhausted.

night all xxx

Deborah, I'm glad that you finally cracked it for a good weekend sales wise.
Terry, I sincerely hope that you have managed to get some sleep, the broken mirror gods are not being good to you.
We were having a pretty good weekend on the GC until about 3pm or so on Sunday afternoon, then it all went pear shaped. I will put our latest tale of woe on the Good Morning thread.
Cheers

Great to hear the sales have improved and you are feeling good about the whole plan again ..... You might need to trim out the sales events that have a high stall cost resulting in a lot of hard work with little profit.

It clearly shows you skill level in making a product that people want is alive and well, maybe less sales displays will improve the turn out to the events you advertise you will attend .......

If you add each 15 mins and 30 mins together, I think I slept for a few hrs ..... The neck pain and headache as a result of the stress causing the muscle spasms in my neck, is helping with the sleep patterns either .....

Deborah I don’t mind a few ducks visiting, the problem is we have to many neighbours feeding same, end up with duck poo everywhere & always having g’sons, mates & other visitors inevitably someone walks in it, guess me having water troughs for the birds doesn’t help the problem.
Good to hear that you were happy with your sales, hopefully next event is the same.

Thanks to John (Riverlander) and his vehicle restoration skills, our diesel heater is reassembled with the correct diesel fuel line replacing the cheap-sh!t plastic tube originally fitted.
Also, him being a young whippersnapper (well, relatively speaking) he was able to crawl under the van to re-string the pipe, something that my spinal damage precludes.
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU, John. 👍🥂🍾

Now all we have to do is refill the heater tank to check that it is functioning according to the instruction manual. 😉
I’m sure it will. 😁🎉
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Happy restful holidays Dotty. xxxx

Shirley, yes the shitty ducks are a PITA with their messages all over the ground. That is just one of the things about living in paradise most of the time.

David and Terrie, you have certainly been having a few surprising problems. It will be interesting once you know what sparked the fire, but glad to see you are both well after the horror. Thinking of you both.

Good to read that Ray has his heating problems under control, but won't it be a little hot for a few months before you can really test it out? It is so good that our members can be so helpful to each other.

Thanks for all of your positive comments. We will continue to re-evaluate our marketing and venues, after what has been a very crappy year.

We had a lovely late sleep in and then went out for a delicious lunch. We have been researching a replacement van, like one with two axles. Port has none that have interested me and now Coffs Jayco has just listed a few more on their site that do appeal. We were meant to be heading home tomorrow, now it will be a two hour run up the highway to inspect said van. The salesman is holding the van for us until after lunch time, so home may have to wait.

hope you are all safely sleeping with not so much stress today,
night all xxx
Deborah

Found any good gravel pits yet Dot? xxxx

Just to stop you all hanging in suspense.
Yes we left a deposit on our latest caravan. We found a 2019 Jayco (of course) Journey 19.61-2
Translation: it's a 19 foot van with double axles, a washing machine, solar panel and has been slightly raised.

After our 16 ft single axle van, it seems like a palace. There are some more cupboards, but in typical jayco fashion, the extra cupboards are full of switchboards etc. Due to us having to be in Bathurst early November, for another event, we have elected to have our changeover in late November.

We had a laugh at the salesmen who were doing the tradein valuation. Quite a few times they commented on how colourful our van is. Yes, I have made curtains all round, that are cream with red flower outlines drawn on them and our grandkid photos are on the fridge. I think it's way better than jayco beige and bland colours. I plan to make new curtains for this van, once we have lived in it for a while.

well sleep tight everyone xxx

Sounds good Deborah the purchase of anew to you caravan, especially the double axel & extra room, I’m sure you’ll enjoy travelling in it.
Agree we do live in paradise, best decision we ever made 30 years ago to relocate & we do have a temperate climate, most of the time not to hot in summer & not freezing cold in winter, living on the waterfront is definitely a bonus, we spend hours sitting on our deck.
