And in the mean time Bruce is laughing at us, cos his truck cab still tilts.
Surely to something, nobody was that dumb that they built a motorhome that can't be maintained.

Takes me about 12 hours over a 1-2 weeks to remove the engine and gear box from the bus.

Same putting it back in. Just plug away and it's eventually done.

Might be the lesser of 2 evils.

From a risk and disaster point of view, what happens if the hybrid conversion is started and the council issues a court evuction order?

That's probably the worst case scenario that needs to be considered.... Plan B as they say

Trouble is, if that happens, and then end up living away from the block, like the majority of all motorhome projects, the winnie will probably not be finished.

Yeah, after I've removed the front enough to get to water pump and then reassembled it, I'll know the easiest way to go about it .... probably continue to drive a 9 and something cyl V10 until it stops ..... then think about the alternatives ..... maybe even 2 x MG4 motors linked together to give me a constant 250kw plus driving into the 4 speed auto, 2 MG4 battery packs would give me 100kwh of battery capacity and at the moment, cost roughly $40 max to recharge in an hr at a fast charger ..... well, 2 fast chargers  Or 4 days of good solar .... fancy being forced to park up at a free camp for 4 days to get free fuel to do ...... who knows how many kms 8-)

Actually headed out into the sun to assemble the portable carport I used to do the mods on the trailer ..... lasted long enough to look for it until I came up with an easier solution .... well two of them, one was to go back inside with a nice cold beer and forget about the whole plan until tomorrow ...... but the good fairies haven't been calling around lately, so I doubt the water pump is ever going to be done unless I do it

Decide to assemble one of these I bought a while back, can't find a link to where I bought them .... "Does n Matter" as Con the Fruiter would say ....... basically, a 2mtr x 2 mtr black roll up cloth window shade

I'm about halfway through the assembly stage, melting in the lack of shade, so in here having a bottle of water with 2 electrolyte tablets dissolved in it to replace the lot I just sweated out ......

Good thinking Terry. Keep the Winnie going until the house situation is permanently resolved.

Then, do what you want to do.

Ooh ..... classic Masters Apprentices .... maybe a bit before your time Jon .... Never figured out why they named the song after the first line of the first verse "It's because I love you" name of the song Jon, don't go getting exited or anything  This one might be a bit better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuAU8CAdKsg from about the 1 min mark ...

Today's progress:

Thursday the front hatch cover came off and the air cleaner out, the sun on the back of the neck was way too much, even with a hat on .... So

Winnie water pump replacement 1.jpg
Winnie water pump replacement 2.jpg
The radiator is behind that lot and goes all the way down to bottom of the fibreglass front ..... it isn't going to fit out that hole
Winnie water pump replacement 3.jpg
The indicators/sidelights are out of the bullbar and it is now leaning against ..... something, work was scheduled to resume when it isn't quite so hot and the sun is at a better angle ..... like behind the workshop next door

Bernie,

After all that effort.... why? Why, ..... Why isn't the caravan sitting on the welding table you made?

Or at least inside that workshop that caused you so much grief with the council ;)

The trolley jack is my saviour with trailers that are not designed for towball heights that would see the trailer level when towed ..... always annoys me, but then, it doesn't take much to annoy me these days
