We are now parked up in our hotel in Montecatini Terme, which is somewhere kinda near Florence (Firenze ) I was today years old when I realised it was the same place. Kept seeing all the signs to Firenze, had no idea. Doh.
Anyway, it's about 8pm here and we are getting ready to try and catch a few zeds. I'm tipping I'll be awake again around midnight - 1am local time, maybe 10am AEST.
G'night.

When you wake up at 1am local time, just think you've had a sleep in because it's really 10amsupersparky wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 6:02 am We are now parked up in our hotel in Montecatini Terme, which is somewhere kinda near Florence (Firenze ) I was today years old when I realised it was the same place. I never know if it was my father's heavy smoking when I was young, working in the auto industry with all the brake dust, or working in the cement kilns and cooling towers on shut downs at the Berima cement works ..... but my lung certainly let me know lately that all is not well ..... I get winded very quickly lately, but that could be because I'm 2 1/2yrs pregnant and still growing

Terry, when you have trouble breathing properly, just tell yourself that it's because of all the fun we had getting old.
I dunno what is the real reason is, that causes me to struggle a bit sometimes. But I'm happy to report that we know what it isn't.
It's 3.15 am local time right now, and I'm going to have another crack at sleeping.

Could be the pregnancy and it's pushing up into the diaphragm.
If you're not eating a lot, it might be worthwhile being checked over.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
speaking of short of breath, 2003 G was T boned, years later he wasn't able to run like he used to so the GP sent him dor some tests and then off to a thoratic surgeon and he found that G had a ruptured diaphragm, NOT taken notice of in the hosp(X/R) half his guts were right up into where his lungs were, so that got fixed straight away. But I think Prof 1 issue is Pi-- and Wind.
Went to the physio today and he was really helpful with a great neck treatment
. Too cold to be outside as the wind was cool along with some rain G did a few jobs in the bus and a bit more mulch spreading and he gave it away due to the cold.Brian hates the ointment being put on the thing on his lower eyelid so G has to help hold him just hope it works, not looking forward to him having any surgery. Deborah looking forward to seeing the latest splat plate. Have a good weekend everyone and Goodnight to all x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, good to see the physio did something useful. I have this thing where I believe the aim of physio's is to cause as much pain as possible, at least that's what happens for me. Glad you found a good one mate. xxxx
Today was a sleepy one, so not a lot happening here. I wandered down to my shed and found that I don't like what the splat is looking like. I decided to add a lot more of the tiny glass flowers that I like to use, after I had shaved off a couple of spiky bits that stood out like thorns on an old rose bush. It's getting heated up again to stay flat but with five degrees hotter and five minutes longer on top temp. Hoping that will be enough to make it more appealing.
I baked his nibs a cake that I think is way too heavy, but he is a human vacuum cleaner, so he enjoyed it. My trick is to add a thick layer of philly cheese frosting. He will suffer a really crappy cake just to get the icing. He can enjoy that for a couple of days, I think it's not for me this time.
It's been so hot today and tomorrow is looking like being even hotter, so an early night for me.
