As far as I remember, it was Don Taco who stole & adapted Hitler’s “Make Germany Great Again” slogan.
And one or more of his advisers appears to have gone through ‘Mein Kampf’ with a highlighter pen before drafting Project 25.
(I doubt DT is capable of reading a book cover-to-cover and remembering — let alone understanding — what he has just read. Oh, unless the author is Dr Seuss.) 🙄
You can rally together a crowd with big talk, but that crowd can rapidly get away from your control and even turn on you if they think they were lied to and used ..... they still want to Make America Great Again, if the have lost faith in Trump being the path to that end goal, they will turn on him and look for the next person who might be able to do it for them ..... can you think of any Republican that could do it?

If there is a split within the MAGA between that goal and the party faithful .... another house of cards tumbles down .....

Maybe the QAnon shaman will be their next leader, he already thinks he should be the commander and chief .... it's already clear you don't need to be the sharpest tool in the shed to take the job ......

My post was completely ambiguous, so it could be taken either way .

But as an aside, I do love to see the Trump hate fest keeping just below boiling point on this Forum
It sorta makes my day and reminds me that a proselytiser comes in many colours.

Crickey's Ron, I had to Google that one ;)

In all honesty, about the best they could do over there at the moment is vote "None of the above" and have an amendment where they have to find a whole new lot of candidates to vote for  All that political donation money, wasted, might make them think twice about trying to buy the next president .....

Found this in an opinion piece offered as news, and it has a very 1984 feel about it
It was another example of how Trump’s shifting policy positions, racially inflammatory statements and threats frequently fuel a flurry of headlines, reflecting what some psychologists are calling “media saturation overload” or “Trump stress disorder.”

This barrage of information may seem like overcommunication from a hyperactive administration. But it is much more than that.

Scholars have found that the constant, often conflicting and at times false information coming out of the White House and shared via social media posts and the conventional news media causes members of the public to see truth and fact as relative and makes them more likely to dismiss those who disagree with them as untruthful. This leaves doubt about what’s real and what isn’t.

This citizen paralysis creates what philosopher Hannah Arendt described in “The Origins of Totalitarianism” as a general public “for whom the distinction between fact and fiction … no longer exist.” When lies are truth and truth is derided as lies, Arendt wrote, ordinary people lose their bearings and can be manipulated for totalitarian objectives.
I'd say he might not be as silly as he seems, but that would just be adding more fuel to the fire .... I think the masters who are pulling the puppets strings know exactly what they are doing, and have been doing for a very long time ......

It took the Great Depression to remove the blinkers from the majority .... let's hope it will only be the Great Depression within the US borders this time ..... although, it might make it cheaper to build our new house, just need to invest in something that has a value that won't end up locked away like money in the bank ...... maybe batteries, inverters and solar, something to give people a bit of independence again ..... without the knowledge on how to set it up and maintain it, it's not something that would have immediate value .......
