Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

HBTY Miss Dot. Hope you are hearing from all your mates and getting up to mischief, plotting a visit with an elephant xxxx

Shirley told no lies. It's been a real stinker of a day. We were very rudely awoken at 7bloodyAM by a huge crack of thunder right above our house. The thunder and grumbles continued for a while with minimal rain and just a lot of noise. I don't know how hot it did get, but it's the usual sticky sweaty hot humid sort of day.

I decided that it was a good day to get some administrivia out of the way, so started on collecting all the forms and receipts for the health fund. I must have had a brilliant day, last time that I did this job. I found a stack of prefilled in forms for his lordship and then another stack for my claims.
That made life a lot easier. All I had to do, was write the date, who did what and how much I paid, job done. He will sign them on the morning and post on Monday.

As we were eating dinner, I remembered the kiln and had done nothing all day in the shed. It was too dark to wander down there tonight and the neighbours were having a party in the backyard right next to my shed Tomorrow will be soon enough. I need the piece to be ready for Tuesday , packing the caravan day, so plenty of time. ;)

Deborah how did the latest plate turn out? Hope you have successful sales at the next market.Spent most of the day doing more garden stuff, have another 3 eggs in the same nest ?? they are sure into "it" All mulch has been laid and other plants and roses have been trimmed ready for the next flush. Back to the busy time of Dr's etc for the next couple of weeks. It is cold at night and not worth lighting the fire or even putting the air con on, easier to shower and into a warm bed.My NZ M8 rang me and after 3 hr 18 mins I had to tell her to go away as my throat was really sore and now I am left with sucking throat lozenges until it recovers. Much to G's delight. Off to shower and bed now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks xx :D :D

Dot, the splat is still in operating mode. Your Kiwi mate doing ok? Remind me what sort of oversexed birds are nesting in your garden? Have the previous batch totally flown the coop? xxxx

The kiln time was good. The splat has more character and so it's getting a shaping fuse to drop it into a bowl mold tonight. It was still looking too flat to be useful, so when it comes out tomorrow I will know if it needs more time or not. Shaping the bowls is always a bit hit n miss. Sometimes one side drops first and then the whole balance of the bowl gets off centre. It's going to be done, when it's done.

I spent ages on the phone today to the organiser of the event next Easter at Nambour, Sunshine Coast Qld. I have sent so many emails asking about getting power and water to our caravan that have gone unanswered, this is the last chance. He will do some investigating and said he will ring back in a couple of days...sounds like I will be ringing him again on Tuesday. If these events for the National lapidary mob were not so profitable, I wouldn't bother, but they are usually worth the extra effort.

Booked in for the next weekend, at Bathurst for their annual Christmas extravaganza. We are planning on leaving home on Wednesday. I guess that means a few things will have to be done before Wednesday.

Splat away Deborah and good luck for the Bathurst market and have a good time. The birds are blackbirds and the prev 3 babies are now digging in the mulch for the bugs. they don't take long to mature.Norman is still sitting in the corner of their avery thinking he and his daughter have eggs. G gave the weekly clean out but Norman insists he has eggs there (dumb male). My NZ M8 is enjoying her huge garden but is still having the bro and his corrupt lawyer making threats but there may be an end in sight at the next high court session in Feb 2026 , she doesn't have to go but I would love to. Most likely end up in the clink. My clay-tons daughter (cop in NZ) has an undertaker friend and I asked if she was doing the aquamation type funerals yet and I have been invited to see the process when I go back there. A friend of mine had her special goldfish done this way as there is a pet place in NSW that does this.Off to the nurse person to do my care plan for the freebies of physio, massage, heated pool etc so that means we shall see our block we sold as next door to the hosp.Picked up all the tree trimmings and loaded them on the trailer ready for the tip. Also got news my care package has been allocated so now I will get the floors mopped and the gutters cleaned and one of those small fold up wheelchairs you can put in the car.George is packing his hosp case up ready to be admitted on the 2nd ready for his op on the 3rd. Better to go in the night before. Monarto Zoo has a new baby giraffe to see. Ok bed time now, take care and goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight jd & Phoenix xx :D :D

Dot, what luxury to have the floors mopped and gutters done. Actually, I am in favour of any help that makes your home more easy for you to stay where you feel comfortable. George is keen to get to hospital, may be a couple more weeks just yet? Hope you feel good after doing the trailer loads today. xxxx

Jon, I am with Pheonix. It's flamin cold here too, even ugg boot weather. The days are up in early 20's but it's freezing cold tonight.

We had a progress meeting today, so a quiet day here. Progress is winding down for the year and following up on a few unfinished things. We all were encouraged to put in submissions concerning the council document/plan for a heap of housing on 400msquared blocks in what is currently residual bushland and they are calling it a "conservation plan" . Just another money making grab for the council and not at all anything to do with actual conservation. I managed to do 2 totally different submissions, one for each of us. I don't think that he will be too concerned that "he" wrote yet another submission. Sometimes it's handy having separate email accounts. ;)

Tomorrow we pack the caravan for it's swan song trip. I cleaned out the swimsuit shelf in the van today. I reckon there is no life in the swimmers, just because of the heat in the van, so that cupboard is now empty.

Night all xxx

long day had. Went to Mt Pleasant to do my care plan with the nurse then into see my GP for her to add a few bits. Passed our old block and it felt good to see that the new owners had done some improvements and so it looked nice. Lots of pot plants around the shed and some ?survey pegs near the shed. My bone scan was a great success so to speak, bones are like that of a 30yr old  pity the rest isn't. Some good news for a change.Back to Mt Barker tomorrow to get that thing cut out that is in my armpit  George got the requests for his pre op tests ie bloods and an ECG and to see the gas man next week. Best wishes for a long and happy life with your new caravan Deborah and a great $$ sales success . Cold again tonight so off to the hot shower then into a warm bed so Stay safe everyone and hope the sickies are getting better. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight RnB hope you are feeling better. x :D
PS Mr Phoenix is looking as handsome as ever. xx

Dot good to read that you are still looking after yourself and not letting the docs forget stuff. Won't get the Queen Mary for another fortnight. The wait is killing me, but this weekend is a working one so we had to plan the collection of new van around that. So this will be the final weekend in our poor old battered van. Next week we will be totally clearing out the old van and making it look a bit beautiful xxxx

Shirley, the site is meant to be classified as industrial, but brown envelopes may have passed hands. We are all asking what it is going to be, but not even the great Doug Eaton has answered our questions. He was at a recent progress meeting and just shrugged when we asked about it. Notice how many large trees have been scrubbed from the land? So much for our wild life corridor.

I had a successful day getting the van all packed and tomorrow, all that needs to go in are the fridge things. The trip to Bathurst is not one of our favourites. There are just no places that are caravan friendly to get off the road for a break. We have a quick stop near Hornsby and then it's pretty much hit n miss. We usually find a spot to stop eventually, but can never really be sure that a stop can happen in any regular places. Hope tomorrow is a bit different.

Thanks Deborah, they sure have cleared the area of all natural vegetation, the booster water pump station is the only thing left standing on the corner, the development outcome will be interesting, Doug Eaton would know what is happening 😡 he might own the land 🤔
