Shirley told no lies. It's been a real stinker of a day. We were very rudely awoken at 7bloodyAM by a huge crack of thunder right above our house. The thunder and grumbles continued for a while with minimal rain and just a lot of noise. I don't know how hot it did get, but it's the usual sticky sweaty hot humid sort of day.
I decided that it was a good day to get some administrivia out of the way, so started on collecting all the forms and receipts for the health fund. I must have had a brilliant day, last time that I did this job. I found a stack of prefilled in forms for his lordship and then another stack for my claims.
That made life a lot easier. All I had to do, was write the date, who did what and how much I paid, job done. He will sign them on the morning and post on Monday.
As we were eating dinner, I remembered the kiln and had done nothing all day in the shed. It was too dark to wander down there tonight and the neighbours were having a party in the backyard right next to my shed Tomorrow will be soon enough. I need the piece to be ready for Tuesday , packing the caravan day, so plenty of time.
