You have me confused about the LPG bottles Deborah .... The newer bottles have the LCC27 tap that has an internal check valve and can be identified by the external thread but also has the original internal thread, so they work the same as the older bottles.
The change was 2021, so they have been around for a while and the old tap and fitting will disappear as the bottles go in for their 10 yr test and restamp, they must have the new valve/tap fitted as part of the testing to pass for another 10 yrs life .... If you remove the plastic dust cap on the centre of the valve, you will see the threaded part inside and the addiction of the brass valve and O ring, so gas can't escape the valve, even with the tap turned on, until the fitting is screwed in and tightened ..... no more bumped gas taps filling enclosed areas with LPG and going off with a bang

Deborah I wouldn't fit my old garb I weighted 45kgs until I hit 40
One thing that I still do is treat him like a naughty boy and the old strict old fashioned one appears. Then all the household jobs pop up and before I know it it is time for someones morning tea or exercises, pills, but I know he would and has done the same for me but so exhausting, my feet are back to their worst. Deborah those fans you mentioned is it for your new van? 3 baby birds have their feathers and are hopping between the little nest and the branches surrounding it, very cute. Bed time and deep heat for thy feet. Stay safe if on the roads and the sickies improving. Goodnight everyone x

Dot, is the patient behaving and being patient? Stay sane mate . No Dot, the fan/light is for the house. It's a light that the fan blades are tucked up inside until needed, so they suit our super tall ceilings without looking too plain and functional. xxxx
Terry, all that you have written is correct. Our gas bottles don't comply with the new systems and nobody has old stock to put the gauges onto the older bottles. We will just have to wait and see what happens. They are obviously ok without the bits that we are used to using, just wanted to keep it simple as we could. Noting gas is ever simple.
Another real stinker of a day. Our house air con was started up at 10 am, which breaks my rules of 4pm before it can be turned on. It was needed and we only had the temp set to 26. That was way cooler than outside. The posty delivered the last of my van packages, that was earlier than expected, but good. I have now been able to put quite a few more things in like the plastic drawer dividers and tiny crates that make the spaces more usable. I hung up a fancy earring holder onto the inside of my wardrobe door, I hate losing tiny earrings and this will help a lot to save my sanity. I only spent about an hour in the van, but the heat drove me back, just like yesterday.
We now have the new quilt cover washed and sundried and ready for the van. I decided that it was so hot that the quilt could do with a good wash too. It is almost dry. There are some serious bush fires in the region and the air was getting a bit too thick to leave washing out. The quilt will be properly dry by tomorrow, so that's soon enough for the next jobs of turning the cover from a queen sized cover to a double sized cover. That shouldn't take too long. just a bit of measuring and straight runs of stitches. It will be good to see it in the van. Probably not happening tomorrow. We have a jayco lunch session to attend.

George, what mix do you use to feed those birds. Most of the mixes available here have far too much wheat in them. I think the only bird that should eat wheat is chooks.
Cheers

Dave, a mixture of https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/prod ... end-parrot and sunflower seed, 50/50.
That mixture suits Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Eastern Rosellas. Unfortunately, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos also like it so, I choose the time I put it out.

Beautiful birds George, we get many lorikeets, eastern rosellas, cockatoos & corellas, I don’t feed them anymore, I do have permanent water in the garden out the front, recently I saw a blue tongue lizard having a drink, should have photographed it.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hope you are still being strict there Dot.
Is Mr G showing signs of improving? Forget the house work for a while, nobody is making the place dirty are they? Just concentrate of G and all will be well. xxxx
Newy George, you certainly have a better class of birds than we get. We get a lot of rainbow lorikeets and an occasional rosella and a ton of bloody stinky ducks and noisy minors. Thanks for the "recipe" for your birdseed mix. I will suggest our tenant try it instead of feeding them all left over bread.
We spent the day travelling to and having lunch with, our jayco mob. There were 56 people and it was so noisy that we almost turned around and left once we heard the noise. Probably not a good venue for our group but the food was good. We both had a garlic prawn with pasta meal and it was delicious...no dinner tonight just a banana split.
Hope you all had a great weekend

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks for those pics NC George they are pretty birds, we have them in the gum trees eating the flowers. When I feed our galahs and change their seed I spread the left overs and we get all types of birds coming for a free feed. Deborah thanks for info on the fans I shall look them up, we need new ones. Now people don't faint, Guess what time I actually got up today and promise not to faint. It was 8.30PM I have never slept so long never. George said he woke me several times but as soon as his back was turned and I was back asleep. Must admit I have been running around like a headless chook so I must of needed the sleep. George is improving very well, he even stacked the dishwasher tonight. Doing his exercises as ordered and generally being a good patient. Hoping for some warmer weather but not too hot thanks. Have a bit of catching up to do on here but that can wait until tomorrow , until then Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
How warm do you want it Dottie, you slept through Sunday .... half ya luck .... it was too hot to work outside for more than 30 mins at a time up here through Sunday, absolutely burnt me out.... had a nap while the sun moved over behind next door's shed, then back into it until it was too dark to see.
Up at sun rise this morning, trying to beat both the clock and the heat, need to be in Balranald 11:30am Tuesday
A test run and 500km shake down trip, all in one
