Good morning everyone. We haven't had any rain at our place this week. I've been a busy little bear this week, building some industrial switchboards. The early start took a bit of getting used to again.
I went to one of the boutique breweries up here last night and caught up with some of my old workmates. They were playing in a covers band.
We are putting up some more Christmas lights today. There are some pretty good displays in the local area.
Have a top day everybody.
Safe travels all those out and about.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
The one I'm attempting to put back up is the same, 18ft, the one to go up the righthand side is 20ft from memory .... I'm thinking about adding a saddle half way along to support the roller when travelling, that is a long length for flexing to develop and I'd hate to bend a drum ....BernieQ2 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 6:53 am Good morning.
Busy day Carol's car has been washed and All the lawns are mowed.
Bruce they probably would have been red tails.. They seem to be what we normally see...
On the Hino all the maroon colour isn't paint it's a wrap.. hopefully when we go to Maryborough next week I hope I can get a colour close to what's there...
On that photo of my work platform...if you enlarge the image you can see the rear awning arm is attached.. and on the ground is the new roller... it's 18 foot long... how long are the awning rollers on your winny Terry..
Yes Shirley I also had the coca cola yoyo...we had some people come to the school and give us demos of what you could do with the yoyos... probably around fourth or fifth class...I think... Padstow public school in NSW..back in the. Olden days.
I have no idea what's going on today yet![]()
Keep safe.
Bernie.
A bit too windy to attempt putting the awning material into the two pieces of sail track up there at the moment ...... I could put the last piece up, but that idea of threading it through the two pieces already fixed and then threading the last piece onto the awning fabric has a definite appeal to it, I remember the nightmare involved putting it up the first time

Re: Good morning daily
Terry, I can recommend those saddle things on the long awning. We have one on our Winny. When we had an event with the bridge at Taree earlier this year, the saddle saved a bunch of potential grief. Our awning would have finished up on the roadway if the saddle wasn't holding it up. It also acts as a debouncer on rough roads.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
Dottie,
It’s like the thing you put on a horse’s back, but metal, and shaped to cup the middle of the awning.
It stops the long tube flexing so there’s no risk of a permanent bend, which would make the awning useless, as you couldn’t unroll it.
Think of a bracket shaped like the letter ‘u’ with the straight bit on the right bolted to the m/h.

Good morning everyone.
Wow it's Sunday again
. Where did that week go...
And it's hot and humid 24 degrees inside... and overcast.
I finish painting the Hino gutter..it had a little surface rust so I painted the rust converter on and yesterday I put three coats of flat white on..
I'm. Going to Maryborough on Tuesday to try and get the maroon colour so I can finish putting the awning on...
Only some gardening stuff today... unless told otherwise.
But before all of that... it's bacon and eggs day
as soon as herself gets up...
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie..
