Re: Our "New to Us" Winnie
This afternoon afternap, I attempted to wind up the springs for the awning ..... shooda stayed in bed
First attempt, wound the spring the wrong way and it tried to roll up inside out, then the lock pins didn't want to line up with holes, that meant I couldn't get the anchor bolt out ..... lots of bad language, finally got the bolt out, wound the spring the correct direct at each end ...... not idea what's wrong now, it just wont wind up .... so, it back to the arms being tied up and the awning hanging loose in the middle ..... another attempt in the morning.
The sun was so serious today, every exposed piece of flesh is sunburnt so I'm sort of

Be nice to have that luxury Dottie, but time is not on my side, in 4 days I have to be in Balranald, or it will be sometime in the New Yr before I can get rego .... and I still have this inverter install in the caravan to finish and that isn't going according to plan either ....
If it wasn't for the last minute, I'd never get anything done

Terry.
1. With out the material fitted in the roller and
2. with the roller fitted in the arms.
3. Lower the arms so you can work on it.
4. Then rotate the roller as if the material was being wound out. Ie fully extended.
5. Once the right number of turns are made, lock it off.
6. Then remove the roller from the arms.
7. Then Slip the now free roller sail track slot over the material.
8. With the material on the sail track, and floppy loose, fit the roller to the arms.
9. Now adjust the arms, so the roller and material is in the extended position.
10. Hold the black strap and release the catch.
11. The roller should retract and roll up the material

Some time ago I watched the best video of the complete, in detail process of the job but rather than being told it's for a different brand I decided I'd just eat popcorn & watch.........
Good luck folks.
I'm off to Mackay to buy more popcorn!
