Re: Good morning daily
Power points are wired and fitted, now to put the awning away, the driver side original awning, all the window stuff removed ...... and I get to try and manoeuvre this thing out the gate

Re: Good morning daily
Tell Nigel, thanks for the wind ... not, it made putting the awning in rather interesting, but at least it kept the rain moving on and the temp under control a bit ....
Fingers crossed, we are on our way in around 30 mins

Re: Good morning daily
You're doing well Bernie, looking good and we all need a break from the things that frustrate us, especially when we crush fingers, which I tend to do a bit.
Spend the day building a shed for my bikes and charging the bus batteries, discovered the vtx battery is dead. Which is understandable considering have no idea how old it is and already found it almost dead a while ago. Plus haven't started it for months as I've been using the vstar and contemplating which colour to paint the entire outfit. Now the bikes have better shelter, but the vtx is sitting half in and half out as to get it right in have to start it and manoeuvrer it around a bit until I knock down the horse shed wall and expand into that space. Not that easy top move around with a sidecar frame attached.
Lovely early morning on the beach (0600) and the dogs had a couple of friends to play with, one a big bloke (Joe) is a bit clumsy and barrelled Jasper a few times which he didn't appreciate, so he gave up trying to play with him and decided to follow Bindi and I leaving Joe way behind until he gave up.
Raining now, with it seems a few days if rain coming, which is always appreciated, but will stop me slashing growing grass and everything else.

Re: Good morning daily
It took an hr before we actually drove out the gate ..... not too bad when you consider it was T1 Terry time
Arrived in Balranald at 9pm SA time, 9:30 NSW time, so 7 hrs including a fuel stop and multiple pee stops for "the dog" someone claimed
at least the stops were shorter, no time lost rolling a smoke, then smoking it, then rolling another and smoking a bit of that one
but that was replaced with a Maccas stop and a pie stop at Oyen
The Winnie went great, a lot quieter without that monster fan ..... but I can hear the tappet rattles now
218ltr of lpg and hasn't run out yet after 500kms, so might still see the 40ltr/100kms, price wise, $1.07ltr v $2.10ltr for diesel and $1.95ltr for E10 petrol, equivalent to 20ltr/100km compared to diesel and around 22ltr/100km compared to E10 petrol .... plenty happy with that.
First snag, wired up the inverter power points, but didn't check if they were working .... and the inverter out isn't ...... haven't checked to make sure I didn't wire the wrong one to the wrong cable ..... a job for later on
Margaret drove the Prius, so we don't have the MG4 to plug into either ..... and it is hot and humid in Balranald .....
Jon, Nigel is still a tad confused regarding directions, a tail wind would be blowing from behind, not head on or on the driver's side
it didn't stop blowing in big gusts until about the turn off to Balranald on the Sturt hwy, 5 kms out of town .... it would have been a tail wind then

Re: Good morning daily
Well done. Was wondering if you'd make it.
You left late, the tide changed. Hence the tail wind became a head wind.
BTW, Mannum diesel is $1.92. melb diesel is $1.85

Good morning everyone. I thought you said Margaret had given up the smokes because of her foot troubles? Naughty girl.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Its another bright sunny morning here. With the chance of an a afternoon storm. Nothing like hedging your bet Mr BoM.
Didn't get up to much over the weekend except a bit of yard work and a swim.
Have a top day everybody. Safe travels everybody.

Good morning.
Well done T1...
I wasn't allowed to work on the Hino yesterday
..
BUT...I did sneak out when she wasn't watching
and adjuster the top awning bracket...it was out by about an 8th of an inch..I only had to loosen the top four screws and tap it along then re tighten the screws..
I'm going to ask if I can do the tensioning on the roller..
Temperature hit 37 here yesterday and it's 26 degrees inside at the moment...Gunna get hot Again..
It's a bugga typing with my finger bandaged.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
