Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We just got home 9pm. left home this morning at 10am and headed to the green shed, I was hauled away at just 1pm after "he" had bought a mower, battery/cordless Ozito 36 volts I on the other hand found and chucked in the trolley the air son filter That the same "he" could not find
a jumbo roll of paper towels, some named micro fiber cleaning cloths, and yes a spin mop "Vileda" And Not 1 plant was bought.Decided to head up the highway to Murray Bridge as I thought it would be late night shopping and we would have a meal out for a change NO late night shopping apart from the supermarkets so we stopped at a very busy Chinese restaurant and got the take away menu but heaps of people were waiting 20 mins so we decided on kentucky Duck and stopped on the roadside and had chips and some chook and it was quite nice for a change. While we were sitting on the side of the road eating, a car with an "our age" old couple stopped and asked if we were ok? how was that? And in comparison at the green shed I was finding it a bit awkward humping the mower in to the back of the MG 3 ?men walked past and not one offered to help,But then I really didn't expect the precious ones to offer any help to this old lady parked in the Disabled park.
Then when in WWorths 3 teenager females came screaming Yep screaming around the corner so I looked straight them and told them to cut the screaming out and they did
Oh I missed the part out that we dropped in to Mannum and visited the T1 and Margaret but OMG I can't tell you tonight exactly what happened therebut in a couple of days I will for sure
So very tired so off to bed now. Good night everyone x
Giving Tanks another goodnight because he was so lonely today x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you are really burning that candle at both ends mate. Life is for enjoying, so while you can.... Sounds like you have been forced by some cleaner to spend good money on a bloody fancy mop. I'd a told her where and how to sit on it, but I don't live with you (you are so lucky there). xxxx
Today as I was reading some f**kbook messages, my phone had a message scroll on the top that joe blogs was ringing. It didn't ring, he is on my contacts list and I was able to answer it. PITA if I hadn't been looking at the phone, I would have missed his call. He needed to know a definite answer for when he brings a dash cam to fit to my rav 4 on Monday and some other parts that he needs for the van. I had asked at the phone repair place yesterday about why the phone was sending anyone not in my contacts immediately to voicemail. He fiddled for a while and said it's an optus problem. So after this mornings pesky non call, we went into optus to find out what the phone has done. There are settings on that phone that I could never find again, so I know that I didn't change them. Anyway, the optus girl seems to have found the bits that needed to be changed and I think it's working ok now. I don't want to get the calls from a Chinese lady telling me that my tax is overdue, but I definitely need to get random calls from festival organisers that are not always on my contacts list.
While we were in that painful shopping centre, we decided to do a quick aldi shop. That was done as well as his lordship having a proper haircut while I did optus. I can't get the back of his curls to be tapered, so it's good to have him get a proper cut for me to follow next time.
It's been a hot humid day, so when we finished doing those bits of fiddle we came home and vegged.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Still suffering from your busy days Dot? Take it easy mate xxxx
Shirley has told you about our stormy night last night. Just around the bay from her, it was a monumental storm. Hence why I didn't turn the computer on. Quite a lights and noise show. The rain thingy said that we have had 3 1/2 inches over night and no doubt there will be more tomorrow. It's not anywhere as intense as last night, but it's been raining on and off all day. Amongst all the hassles of the storms, our roof began to leak quite heavily. It was so heavy that I had to get out of bed every two hours to empty the water buckets.
I sent our roofer a text to say, we have a problem and he sent one back to say that we are to expect the both of them tomorrow at 8 A bloody M. Not happy with the time, but hoping like heck that they find some reason for the water ingress.
We are also expecting our caravan man tomorrow so our street will be full of tradies and I don't think I will be friendly to anyone at that hour. Get the coffee ready please.
As we were both exhausted from a disturbed night, we had a very slow bugga all day today.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
You certainly are getting some water woes Deborah and Shirley we wouldn't mind some. Yesterday was a real stinker of a day and neither of us went outside apart to check on the birds and all the water bowls around the place. Deborah I had another bed day (Sat) after the Friday outing
My friend in NZ is really distressed after she made the heartbreaking decision to have another of her old dogs PTS on Saturday only 1 mth after the other dog also went to sleep The second dog just fretted away and gave in. Just 2 more Dobies left
one older and the young pup. Right in the middle of her court crap from her brother. This latest .may just top her heart over the edge. This week I expect the earthworks man to come, the ECH people to have the right answers when G rings them tomorrow and another company that we have been recommended to by a friend. Like you Deborah I am peed off. Now watching "Watergate High Crimes in the White house" NIXON , yes he was everything the current occupier is but why isn't the current one getting the boot? What a house of corrupt men . A very interesting show, hope some here saw it. Also watched the AO last night with the best ever players ie Agassi, Roger F and a bit from Barty v Leyton H and Pat R.It was hilarious. BOB and tennis is on, so something decent to watch for a while.Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x

Did absolutely nothing today apart from watering some pot plants. Hope everyone is safe and sound in these weird weather conditions. Tennis is a bit better than all the repeats and crap stuff. The BOB's race is next. Take care everyone. Off to the creepy fang farrier tomorrow morning. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Good luck with the "creepy fang farrier" Dot. Hope you can find a lees creepy version eventually.
. Your kiwi mate has had a crappy experience with her bro and her pooches. Hope she has the strength to get a good result in the courthouse. xxxx
Bernie, I had to empty the bucket in stages. It's a really big bucket. Luckily it isn't raining tonight.
Robert, I hope that you are impressed with the starlink as our son is. He keeps on about it and threatens getting it for us. I just don't want to invest in any more techy stuff at the moment. We have our wifi that works well enough for us, but he is sure that we need more coverage.
Today started out with the roofer coming at 8 and the rain starting at 8:15. No roof work done today, but he was able to see the buckets and where they are now. It seems like the water is running further along the window frame now. He will return asap.
Our friend Chris the caravan man came and was great. He has been coming to us for a long time. He had usually brought a very old bulldog, who passed last year. He surprised us with two small pugs that are great dogs. He takes in dogs from a dog home and fosters them until they are able to be re-homed. The big boy is his dog that he had had for a while and they are fostering the small black girl. He has said that he doesn't think the girl will get re-homed. He has fallen for her well and truly. She is very timid, but as usual, she was happy to play with me (much to Chris's surprise). I do miss having a dog, but not while running an event based business.
Chris has fitted the anderson plug to the van, rewired the rear camera on the van, installed the dash cam on my rav. Then he took the time to show me how to use the footage on the dash cam and he even added my phone to the rav. I couldn't get it to pair, since we bought it 12 months ago.
We have had a busy day, but it wasn't over yet. I needed to get the new van listed on our toll pass, so that they don't charge us for a truck. The first call, the robot said that they are having delays and to leave number and they would get back. Surprising, they rang back. Phone said unknown caller and hung it up before I could answer it. That happened twice, so I rang the number again and waited for the 45 minutes to have a chat with a person who spoke such poor English that I had a lot of difficulty understanding her. It took half an hour to cancel the listing of the old van and to list the new van. If she spoke proper, it wouldn't have taken so long. If I can get the courage, I will try to check online that she has the right rego numbers. PITA.
Looks like we will be visiting optus again this week sometime, what else can go wrong?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah if you are happy with the WIFI connection you have stay with it. The standard kit that Starlink sends is too bulky and you would be better with a mini. Have shut off both my Starlinks and stopped my account.
Have set up the mini they sent the wife as a monthly rental and it is working good in the yard. Just put it on the bed and works through the roof of the van as long as it is not a metal roof. Also bought a case and will check this morning as it is suppose to work through the case as well.
Yesterday I took the wife for Xrays of both knees and that was painful for her, dropped her at home and cooked a breakfast for her and settled her in. Then it was back to the bank to find out why my new credit card was not working. They had not removed the block from my dispute with starlink. Sorted it out and now working.
This digital age is crap, no card could not withdraw case, pay bills or even the wife's starlink for our internet. Can see problems in the future when they do away with cash and the internet goes down in the fires and storms we are having.
Anyway stay safe folks and safe travelling cheers Robert

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
