Terry,
I'm wondering why Margaret drove the Prius to the testing station, and the MG didn't go on the trailer?

Re: Our "New to Us" Winnie
The Jag is on the trailer at the moment. I could have taken it off and put the MG on the trailer behind the Winnie, but time was tight.
We would have needed somewhere to store the trailer during the inspection as well, but we probably would have booked a spot in the caravan park if the plan had gone that way.
I wanted to put the Prius on the Gypsy trailer, but Margaret wanted to drive over, so that was that ....

Fitted the steps without the spacer, height between steps is much better
The steps don't close yet, still requires the body panel under the step modifying .....
Think I'll get the other rego stuff finished, this caravan finally out of the yard .... and serously consider the fridge replacement, before I take that on ..... I'll take the whole door frame out to do the job, then I can either weld the bottom on myself, or get it tig welded on ..... T1 Terry

Terry, are you going to use the left over bits from the Kwikee steps to actuate the new ones? In my head in can see how that's gunna work. But I'm not sure you'll have enough clearance, now that the stair pack is 3 tier.
Otherwise, how do you deploy them from inside?

Good question, and well asked might I addsupersparky wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 7:46 am Terry, are you going to use the left over bits from the Kwikee steps to actuate the new ones? I did plan to incorporate the Kwikee electric mechanism .... until it proved to be very much in the way of getting the 3 step assembly onto the base plate ..... in hindsight (a very handy skill set I don't have) I should have mounted the 3 step on a plate attached to the Kwikee base plate ..... might still happen yet .....
I found this just released item https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/22601789524 ... rdEALw_wcB that is the same make but only 2 step, so I;ve enquired about buying the drive mechanism on its own ..... I'm not holding out much hope, but who knows unless you ask .....
