Hello Dottie :D I know the set-up Bruce is trying to work with and a deeper socket will not work with the torque multiplier to undo the wheel nuts, it would push the leg on the torque multiplier too far out and it wouldn't engage against the other wheel studs .... Hard to make a picture with words, but the nut assembly that holds the inside wheel on has a 21mm square drive on the end and threaded on the outside. The outer wheel goes over that nut assembly and a much bigger nut (41mm) tightens the outer wheel onto that nut/stud.
The 41mm socket Bruce has, doesn't have a hole through the centre big enough for the nut/stud to fit through, so he needs to make the hole in the centre bigger by not a lot ....

Met a chap by accident from here & asked if he knew someone in town that might have the capability to enlarge the centre hole. He said give it to me
, nothing will stop me. He rebuilds, renovates huge mining equip.
