Hi Dot, the bus is going great. Not much to see in Cooktown to me its just a place now off the bucket list.
We are in the $5 a nite camp area almost in the middle of town, camped next to another "fomite" not this forum.
Have spoken to a cuppla business people about their thoughts on the 'free camp' both were for it, was told one of the CP's is also in favour.
Its for self contained only and only two nites a well.
There is a form handed to you when you pay your fee, for feed back to the council on how much you spend in the town and if you would have came here if there was no 'free camp' and stuff like that.
I have enough fuel on board to get back to Mareeba but I will fill here as well just to support the locals.

At least that town is making an effort with those forms for people to put their thoughts down.

Currently at Ceduna in the Foreshore van park.

For your info Dot... the wind (natures stuff) is currently so strong from the SW - onshore - that should one wish to relieve oneself of some flatulence then one must definitely stand into the wind. :?

To do otherwise would find oneself definitely burping said flatulence from a somewhat different & higher orifice!

All the vans' antennas are in the prone position.

I'd be happy to see me 'UP'.

Will be leaving here Thursday morning for Penong... about 70 kays westward... then gunna spend the rest of the day being a tourist in the area & will kick on again Friday - unless the Navigator has other ideas. :?

Thanks for that link Bruce... bloody neat!

Currently at Denham ( Monkey Mia ) for a few days.
We got here via the inland detour from home , Bruce Rock, Kalgoorlie, Karijini and Exmouth, it's been windy but still a great trip.
We were fishing near Monkey Mia off the beach today with friends and caught a good supply of whiting for both families.
Some for the freezer and some for the BBQ.
I knew I shoulda bought the zodiac :x
We're out of here Thursday and slowly going south as I have to be back in Perth by the end of the month for a knee replacement.

Well Ron,

You did much better than me the last time we were over there.

Only caught 3 sand whiting & 5 squid between Broome & Esperance!!!

Good luck with the knee.
