Thanks Wilbor that does not sound extreme.
Did you do any guesstimates on what the annual savings might add up too?

From what I have heard of others paying I would also be happy with the $7500 bill. We can still get the 60cents pr what ever at the mo.

I got a couple of other quotes but Energy Matters beat them by thousands of $

Have a look at their website, you can get a quote on-line, but when they ring you they will usually reduce it, the on-line quote is worst case senario, ours started at $8700  I sent them photos of everything and as they no longer required a site inspection due to the info I gave them the quote reduced by another couple of hundred dollars :)

Hi
When the figures are punched into the computer, It will take it the meter has run forward

You could get a surprise bill unless human intervention sees it first :)

If you are planning on keeping the house and can keep the electricity bill in your name, I would be making phone calls right now. Maybe even enquire about two separate meters, one with the workshop and solar connected and the other with the house connected, then you could rent the house if you were silly enough to that again but still have the solar on the shed account and still in your name, then you can still collect the $$ without risking the renters running up a big bill in your name 8-)

70 panels WOW, I have 20!!! Up here we are limited to a max of 5kva for a grid connect system, maybe he is an off grid or maybe somewhere where they don't have a max output restriction.

Would save in roof insulation too

They would be heating the roof rather than insulating it.
