Nu Wave Portable Induction Cook Top.

Post by nut17 »

There is a pop up ad appearing periodically at the top of the forum for these cool looking cook tops, but when you try to purchase one, the link is for the USA and Canada only :x Seems little point putting ads on "down under" forums when they will not ship outside North America. (Probably only available in 60Hz 110V anyway)

That is one for the boss to answer. On the same topic i.e ads, I had reason to look at the save the children web site and bingo, the ad for them came up on here, made me laugh because it said "Come on Back" but if these machines were so smart then they would have known I made a complaint and quit so now they want me back  I don't think so..

Hi Chris,
I admit that some ads are not what we would desire but they pay the bills!!!
If you don't like them, click on them!!! Twice even!!!
Each time someone clicks on an ad it may cost the advertiser anything up to $4 & we get around 60-70% of that & Google get the remainder.
At this stage the ads are generating a little more than it's costing to run the site.
If a few more click on those ads we could send someone on a holiday as a prize maybe??? ;) ;) :)
Really though .......... I can request a certain type of ad not to appear but in reality the ads are in response to what YOU are looking up or are interested in!!!

I keep getting ads from Hobby King, so I keep clicking on them, it upsets the ad selector something fierce, that's the only ads it puts up then so I don't have to suffer the other ones

Hi Chris,

This doesn't answer your question about the adds but this is the inductive cook top I bought a couple of months ago.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271051966511 ... 1439.l2649

They do a twin top as well but it is 15 amp.

So far we a very happy with it. (and the price was right)

Both Brian and I bought one of those as well Craig, they are great, Brian uses that as his stove now, he has removed all the LPG from the Hino, all electric off inverter, solar and batteries. Even at 400w it cooks faster then the gas stove, if you turn it up too far the outside burns and the inside is still cold and raw  toasted sandwiches is a challenge to get the power low enough to get the inside hot when the outside is toasted.

They sound like a perfect solution. However, I am stuck with the same old problem. The Australian suppliers refuse to ship to NZ :!: :!: Bugger

Maybe (with a certain incentive) I could find some kind upstanding Australian citizen to source one and send it over :?: :?:

Cheers Chris
