Countdown :: Dapope Hits The Road 13th July 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

The coil spring thing was the one i was thinking of Terry. The air lead is the high one, no chance of a tire full of oil! I know now how to fix the windows and adjust them, and how to bleed the air tanks if the auto drainers fail. Its bits like that that are to me, absolute gold.

The other important part is to work out which is the first wet tank, nothing gets plumbed off that tank, it's for removing most of the oil and water but it needs to be drained daily. The last tank or auxiliary tank is the best one for taking any air supply from as it is fed via a pressure relief valve that ensures the other tanks are at least half their max pressure before any air is released for other purposes, this reduces the risk of no air for the brakes if the air couplings stop valve fails or it hits something and gets snapped off.

Apparently i have the automatic drainers that appear to be still working! The cables for the manual drainers are neatly coiled out of the way. There is two horizontal tanks. I think i have found a smaller third one by the handdbrake drum. I am going to pay someone to do it all properly, brakes are too bloody important to do an ameteur thing!

Mary's Pool tonight, about 100 k out of Halls Creek. Nice little spot, but busy.
All those daft enough to park along the river bank will have plenty of galah droppings to clean off!we parked out in the open, and made our own wind break

Not all "galahs" that visit Mary's pool do their droppings from a tree. Watch your step ;)
