Locking Thread.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Locking Thread.

Post by Kelvin12 »

Not wishing to upset the wagon or p... on the parade, BUT grey nomads are some of the worst offenders on the roads and some of the worst offenders for pushing the limits of acceptability/norm, and making a welter out of things. We can't just leave this sort of thing in the back blocks without comments and locking a thread. How are we going to educate offenders as mentioned in the below post due to their ignorance or plain stupidity OR just plain rudeness and the idea that, I am older and deserve preferential treatment because of such and such. Move up here to the favored retirement areas and just see how arrogant some of the elderly retirees just are.

Not an oldie yet at 67 and hopefully never will be. .

I often have a chuckle about the hair rinse set complaining about young people doing things not that much different to what they were doing now  It was more like the real problem they had was they were old and the others were young and hadn't earned the right to be like that yet

My biggest gripe would be those that feel they have the right to dictate and enforce the rules, not on themselves, just everyone else. The ones that drive in the centre lane at 10 or 15k's under the limit because they believe they are enforcing safer driving, any faster seems unsafe to them, so no one else should drive any faster either. They would not consider for a moment the problem is their own eye sight is so poor and reflexes so slow they are in fact the danger on the road.
The group that set up camp in the no camping section because they are/were a volunteer some where so that gives them superior rights to the common people

Better get off my horse now
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves

Never will "educate" rude arrogant people no matter what colour hair, social status etc some of us are just plain A holes with no hope of being reformed. Look at the cmca's LNT for example, some have their stickers yet continue to do the wrong thing. Guess we just have to watch what we do ourselves and be prepared for the flack if we are seen to be doing something wrong in the eyes of others. :D xx

OK, so do you reckon we should unlock it again?
I never really visualised this forum as being a tool to educate the "great unwashed" but I'm open to suggestions?
I'm not sure anyone would take much notice either way.

"be damned if we do & damned if we don't"

That thread is now unlocked. Tread carefully oh Great One.
