TRAVEL AND LEARN! Travel and Learn! I found out on Thursday, when Bron had a ride on a camel, that a camel's penis faces backwards. Now hands up if you knew that.

While she was getting off the camel, as it dropped to its front knees, she lurched forward and cracked her sternum - most likely. She is a walking box of chalk and breaks ribs at a drop of a hat. A week or two of pain and she'll be right.

Guess where we went next.

Sorry, no prizes.

On the way between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek I took this photo of two magnificent statues at Aileron.

Judging from what I have seen over the past days, they don't make them like they used to.

In Katherine for 3 days.

I think Steve may be referring to the well formed girl in the photo Dot.

Second day in Katherine was a lazy day with a visit to Springvale and the Museum . Today lazy short trip to Darwin stopping at Adelaide River for lunch. Ordered the soup of the day - potato and leek. Out came laser night's left over roast beef stewed in water with a few veg bits thrown in. Plenty of salt covered it up so it was edible after a fashion. We complained (read she) and we got our money back.

Having a beer in Darwin now. Life is good.

"tanks" here---I am at JERICHO Qld at present and I will be here for several days, then off towards EMERALD.

Going at your rate and covering the distances you do, we may meet along the way towards the Coast. My unit is covered in the Signature section of the posting.
Keep a lookout for me and say hello if we get to be in the same area. I don't wander too much, only when "Russell" wants to 'mark' a tree, or I have to take the trash to a bin.

diesel at the Three-Ways was $1.92 a litre, but just a few kilometers down the road at Turkey Creek it was only $1.70 something. Depending on how much you need to fill the tanks it could be worth the travel to T/Creek and back to Three Ways turnoff.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Keith, we plan to be near Rockhampton about the 14th August. I'll keep posting as we go along - fair chance we'll meet up.
