Well our little town got hit with a mini cyclone today.
Started out at sea, picked up tonnes of seaweed & dumped it along it's path as it took off roofs, flattened fences, wiped out trees for a distance of almost a KM and about 100metres wide.
Power lines hanging down everywhere with sheets of tin wrapped on lines.
Luckily our side of town escaped & somehow still has power.

Yep, all OK here. It would be so terrifying to be in it's path though.

Just saw it on the news, it certainly ripped the place apart, what a mess but no one hurt so that's ok. I was in the middle of Cyclone Bola in NZ, scary stuff.

Re: Hurricane hits Kingston SE, SA
The one that came through the Geroa/7 mile beach area swisted and sheeded full size gum trees through a 500mtr wide path, the place was a mass of firewood and split tree trunks, then it just vanished. 4 all up crossed the coast, the others were very narrow paths of damage, but big damage where they hit.
I guess we had better get used to them, they will be an increasing part of our weather patterns.

What a mess!!
A lot of streets are still blocked off with electricity cables laying across them.
