Getting close to home, running out of data. At Echuca last night, saw the Canberra 100 yo paddle steamer, Dot would remember it when it was being built.

In Swan Hill today, went to the Catalina Museum at Lake Boga and was amazed at the display of memorabilia and the Catalina flying boat on display.

This was a major flying boat repair depot W2 and serviced over 400 war machines during the war 42 onwards closing in 48.

Brilliantly built and maintained by the Lions Club.

You must be noticing the change in temp now Russell brrrrr... Yes I do vaguely remember the building of that vessel but please remember that I was just a little tacker way back then. Like all old things we were built to last. :D

We is Home,

Trip Summary: 8,688 kms at $1.53 litre for an average fill of 76.536 litres costing $2,114.67 for the period 19th June to 5th August 2013.

Average fuel economy based on Kms and Fuel put in tank 14.3 l/100

Credit card is melting, especially since HWS needs replacing at $1700 OUCH.

Adelaide to Cairns and Back.

What a trip, Sil Margaret is still talking to me so I guess I didn't play up too much :-)

Average fuel economy based on Kms and Fuel put in tank 14.3 l/100

Not bad for a 5ton bus and fat controller. :-)

Alden SATTV wouldn't work above Mackay but got back on good list below, very strange.

Tired today but ready to roll again tomorrow, but its back to the pushy at least till Ocober I'm told :-(

This is a wonder full country isn't it.

Pity about the politicians and the media who would have us think other wise.

Regards to all

What a trip!!! They all seem to just go too quick though don't they?
Did you have a stack of those long window envelopes waiting for you at home?
Did your friends travel all the way back with you or did you shake 'em loose? ;) ;)

How many kilometres did the little wheel travel, Russell? And did it survive OK?
