and those that can't kick a ball unless it's round keep the goal posts low so they are easier to get with a half arsed kick. the Irish even have a mix of the pair of them, spare post for close so we'll give you a point for trying and a low post with a net behind incase you got confussed which game you were playing, but the lines on the sides of the paddock are only a general indication and everyone stands back in admoration if you manged to catch the ball on the full
Rugby or rar rar (think that's how you'd spell it) is the full on mobile brawl with some sort of loose rules....
NRL is a game of organised British Bulldog requiring you to keep hold of the ball and not give it the ones with different colour jumpers on (perhaps coaches need to remind some players about that bit) has more rules than anyone seems to be able to remember and everyone thinks have a different interpretation. It takes a number of refs these days, some watching the whole thing on tele and others running up and down the side lines, to decide what's right, what's wrong, what they will turn a blind eye to 'cause they know they made a stuff up before so this might balance it, and if the bloke actually had control of the ball when he put it down.... except for sometimes when the one in the other jumpers stuffed up and let the ball cross the line, then they only have to touch it first.....
