Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bugga

Post by bellett65 »

We have had some bad winds down here in the last week. For some reason on Monday night I thought there was something wrong with the van. Now, the van has been in a repair shop for 2 weeks to get lifted and some huge solar panels fitted.

Got a voice mail to call repairer, did so thinking it may be ready. Nope my gut feeling was realised. 3:30 am Saturday some mongrels broke into the yard and went on a thieving and destruction spree. The vans door beat them they could not jemmy it open but have stuffed it. All the late model stuff was attacked along with a few motor homes. TV and light fittings were stolen. The van next to mine is a disaster. A new Kokoda, all the windows gone, TV, light fittings door and picnic table. Couple are due to go away in a couple of weeks. The workshop owners wife was beside her self. I would say from what I saw maybe upward of 30ks worth of damage just in parts. Good old CIL to the rescue. As I put my claim in there was 4 others doing the same.

The worst bit is Mr. Plod was called 8am Monday. Nowhere to be seen by 5 pm Tuesday. Now for the wait for all this additional work to be done.

Such is life.

That is disgusting Peter, hope the creeps get caught but I doubt if they will  ;) Wouldn't the repair place have insurance, security cameras or alarms? ??another inside job maybe?

They have CCTV of them, one idiot took his glove off when trying our van and the powder from the glove left a beautiful finger print. the yard owner had it covered to preserve it. CIL are covering it and the yard paying the excess. The yard is full of vans and motor homes they were flat out as it was. Now they are really under the pump. To make matters worse for them they have one employee on long service and another in hospital with a virus that has laid him up for the last few weeks and not getting better. I have now jumped the queue, that is to the back of it.
We will have to just see how it all pans out. If they do catch them and they end up in adult court, I will definitely be there to see there faces.

So sorry to hear this! They are mongrels. What can we do to stop these a**holes....we have an alarm on our van but if its in a workshop?

Where we go to have our van remodelled etc they let you stay in the van while they're doing the mods. I reckon the best thing is to have a watchman.

But it just shouldn't happen!

CIL are great. They respond real quick from our experience.

Best of luck

My brother in laws business kept getting broken into, but when he changed the alarm system without anyone knowing that's when the culprit was caught.(twas an inside job) Only takes a few words from an employee to a "mate" even if the employee is overseas / in hosp at the time of the break in. Just better hope they are of the age that they can be jailed etc.. Scum bags the lot of them.

Awww poor misguided offenders, they had a bad childhood, they were abused, they were neglected and came from a poor family that had to steal for a living..... I feel sorry for these simple people, cough, ciough. NOW the reality, there is no penalties these days the courts are full of wanker civil libertarian types sitting on the benches. Its all for the offenders rights and rehabilitation. Are they friggin kidding, where are our rights to be able to leave a car or a house unlocked without some cretin entering and taking something just because he believes he should be able to have it. Really getting sick of this do-gooder shit.

I reckon we should transport them to Arabia for offences incurring fine above $100, can't have criminal behaviour hear and they would learn to be better people in the country of transport. :(
