Next year is the WA trip so start making your exit plans Martin. We were over there 8 yrs ago and never had enough time there, loved it. We went up to Darwin then over the west, that trip was 5 mths. Then we did a Qld trip for 3 mths but hhmmmmm nah,

We spent 10 months in WA; five getting from Kununurra to Perth; the other five noodling around Esperance & the SW corner.
Taking the hwy, it's about 800km from Perth to Esperance... we clocked up 2100km.
Still didn't get to all the vineyards...

I am trying to work out when to take my long service leave. plan at the moment is to take it at half pay from the end of March 2015, then come back, do 6 months @ full time, rebuild the bank account and then off......
Prior to that I will have purchased leave, so a bit of flexibility there Dot

Thanks everyone. More stuff to the bus (food) . G gave her a wash today so all is in readiness, well so we think. We are moving out there from Thurs night to make sure all is working as it should be and to let us clean the house slowly before we go.

With all the rain we've had I would have thought the bus would be clean.
Happy travelling, we have booked the ferry to Tassie leaving 19th Jan. I am going back to work for 3 months and then heading off again, house sitting in Camberwell over Xmas, no other plans, except back to Vietnam in March/April for birth of my first grandchild.

Mowed the grass again today yes did it on Wednesday as well but on a higher cut.... Had my hair dyke cut as well . Fridges and freezers emptied and cleaned. All washing done. Water tanks in bus all filled, gas bottles all full, windscreen washers filled, food in freezer and cupboards. clothes (too many) all packed so all that is needed is the fuel put in. Miss Meow is sporting her new collar and bell and also has a new bed. Last things to do is the house floors and bathrooms then woo hoo Sunday....

Mail being collected daily, no power off else no $$ from solar just turned everything off inc hot water cyl, no newspapers to stop, Garbage bins all empty and cleaned, Who is George
