I recently installed this one

I negotiated a price of $520 locally. The US suppliers would not send it UPS, and there was no saving in cost otherwise.
It is one of the best decisions I have made, we use it every night (we are in Darwin at the moment)

Re: Fantastic fan
What model is your's Jon? I saw the Maxxair unit after I had already bought the fantastic vent. It looked a lot solider build than the Fantastic vent although I'm ot sure if it would be better than the combination of the 2 I ended up fitting. It sure was a lot cheaper.

Re: Fantastic fan
Fan installed
Very happy with it and the fan mate cover
Was going to take pictures of install but after getting sealing goop on fingers didn't want to touch the phone
One problem is the aerial sometimes just grabs the rear corner of the fan mate cover when winding up
It only just touches it
could i cut about 5mm off one of the wingman fins without effecting the reception
Thanks for any replies Andrew.

Re: Fantastic fan
Some aerial specialists seem to think cutting the whole wingman off wouldn't make much difference
but that's not an area I'm particularly familiar with, I don't watch TV at all
Glad to hear you are happy with the fan and cover, I'm very happy with our choice.

Should work like a wind deflector. Expect at least 20% change in fuel consumption.

Hi, all.
Mrs shonky's Fantastic Fan is not functioning at present - the lid is operating normally but that's all.
Anybody know of a quick fix?
