Thanks Shirley, I must say the water at Nanango was horrid, left a real slimy sludge on the tea even after going through the Doulton ceramic filters and the carbon filters as well, so would be nice to get some good stuff. Went for a walk over the bridge and there are people there as well. :D

Suzanne and I are currently at the Motorhome caravan and Outdoor Supershow in Auckland, the end of the first week of our three month tour on New Zealand.
Great place, like what we have seen so far and the folks at the NZMCA rally here at Alexander Park are extremely friendly and helpful. :D

Have used the showers at Texas a couple of times.
Now at daughters and am on the 9th load of washing- winter clothes, sheets, blankets etc from our trip. even though van does not get dust inside while driving, nothing could stop it from coming in when camped & windows open. Curtains coming down to-day as well.

Still at Boomi leaving in the morning, meet Kat and Bruce on our first night here lovely to put a face to another name.. Kay I will be knee deep in washing also when we get home, don't work to hard... Weather quite warm today just back from the spa pool, might finally finish off the diary today while the BOSS goes fishing... If only I could remember what we have done for the past 2 weeks    really must get back to doing it each day... Travel safe everyone.

Cheers Ros.

Still at Goomalling (WA)... although after the humongous storm that went through around 2:30 this morning I did have a quick look around to make sure we hadn't been 'moved'.

Weather forecast is for another big one (settle Dot) tonight with more torrential rain.

Next door bloke was out this morning - in the soft squishy stuff underfoot - with chamois in hand to wipe down his new 4x4 toy... third time in as many days that he's done that after it stopped raining. Then he trucked all that muddy crap into his van on the bottom of his shoes!! :?

Yes folks... they're definitely out there!

G'day Bruce,

Goomalling, in itself, does not rate very high on the list of places the modern traveller will make.

Small country town with a pub, hardware store, IGA store, chemist, a servo & the council owned van park.

Of all of the above, the van park is no doubt the main draw card to here... çoz if you're an old fart you can stay here for a week for $75, :D it's only about 1.5 - 2 hours N of Perth & generally less than an hour to a number of other small towns around the area. ;)

Our main reason for staying here so long? :?

Waiting for the bloody weather to make up it's bloody mind what it bloody wants to bloody do!!!

After all - it is Spring! :(

Fires in the Blue Mountains came within one gully of our place... which backs onto the bush... the other side of this gully is Yellow Rock, where the fires were about to run down this gully to our place... but the weather was kinder to us there, with a brief cold front intervening, just in time.

Following the Kedron gathering at Kilkivan, we have now moved to Standown Caravan Park half way between Tin Can Bay and Gympie. What a top spot! $126 for 7 nights unpowered with further discount for Veterans. And there is a dump point here as well!
