EerWeGoAgen Departs Sept 1st 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

We parted ways with the shepherd & his ewey yesterday morning and headed for Casino via Tenterfield and over the GDR with the 35k corners and the stupid nutters overtaking on double lines on blind rises   The road was ok and seeing as it was getting close to 3pm we found a good gravel pit just 2 ks out of Drake. No traffic to speak of at all just the occasional truck. This morning we headed to Casino and a few more ks of wiggly roads but nothing too bad. Arrived at the cmca Big 4 Casino village ($21.25 powered site)and was no sooner parked up than Derek & Jo greeted us with a hug. Got settled in, did a load of washing, and visited the shower/loo block then went and spent an hr or so nattering before we went to the golf club for a beaut tea of fresh fish but the pudding was the best, I had raspberry cheesecake & G had chocolate moooooose YUMMO. Tomorrow a bit more washing then a tour of the village and then some shopping and more nattering. Most likely going to head towards home nice and slowly. I have been booked for my back op for the end of Oct so want to get things sorted etc. The GDR is a trip NOT for the faint hearted or really underpowered vehicles or anything with not too flash brakes..

Norman, if you want something a bit different...about 50minutes before the coast at Rockhampton, you will see signs up to Mt Hay. Interesting place to stay, tame peacocks that love muesli for brekkie, and collect thunder eggs. They will cut the rocks that you find in half and you get some amazing things for your next show n tell session. We are not rock collecting people, but we became fascinated by these weird n wonderful rocks and the people at the place are just so lovely. It was one of our highlights of our FNQ trip last year. :D

Dot, remember that travelling downhill can be much faster than North bound, so take it easy. Being school hols at the mo, the men (&ladies) in blue are out there heating up their cash registers, so watch the bloody speedo like a hawk. Safe travels my dears xxx :o :o ;) ;) :D :D

"tanks" here---pleased that you connected with Derrek & Jo. Very nice people and "Russell" says hello to Derrek and wants another walk. I am still at my Sisters in Maryborough for a few more weeks.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Sounds better than snags and mash, though we did have some of your favourite yellow stuff....

Hey, Dot!
If you want to raise a few more hairs on the back of your neck, take Erewegoagen out to Kyogle, and drive up the Lions Road to the Border Ranges NP. :?
Look for a sign to Cougal. ;)
And make sure everything loose is lashed down securely... :D
Regards & God bless,
Ray
