Is the rain switch on or off? Is the in/out switch in one position or the other or halfway in between?

How old is it

was it working ok before

If it is a few years old check the lid switch at the hinge side may need a bit of wd40 etc as the contacts corrode
take the screen of remove blade put your hand in and push switch with finger use straw on spray to get into the switch shaft.

Just changed the internal batteries for another pair of flat ones - no joy, I'll try again tomorrow.

BruceS - just replaced the TomTom with a flash new Navman - that plus the cost of refuelling next month will see me in Narrabri just after Christmas.
