Hi, all.

There's a lovely cold creek by the large free campsite, but take note - the only facilities available are rubbish bins and the maximum stay is 14 days. And a word of warning - if you have a dog do not camp past the cattle grid, Steffie just loves to wear a bit of scent but hates the following immersion in cold water.

Hi, all

Still in Texas - FYI there's a mechanic in town who quoted $75 plus filters, oil, etc, for a 5K service on our 2.4 turbo diesel Transit. While this should not be taken as a recommendation, you may wish to call him - David "Tags" Thompson on 0428520486. He's in the main drag at 7 High St. If we're travelling this way in 12 months or so we'll be due for another 5k service and I'll post comments afterwards. Watch this space.
