Hey Dot,
Dead right IF everyone put their dogs on a lead there wouldn't be lock out areas of pets that their is. I know, my dog wouldn't do this and that and my dog is TRAINED, yep crap. If everyone aided by the rules instead of this my dog wouldn't do that then there would be way less problems. PLEASE you dog is not under control if its off the lead and you are rerunning for others that do the right thing, and that includes cleaning up after them. Rant over......
Take care on the roads George and Dot, there are some full time idiots out there.

The thing that got me was the fella knew there was a baby lamb there and yet waited till I yelled at the dog to "Go Home" that he took any notice.. The dog OFF leash area was just a few feet away behind a fence.

I couldn't agree more Dirk. I get very annoyed at irresponsible dog owners, because they stuff it up for the responsible dog owners amongst us.Kelvin12 wrote:Hey Dot,

Have stopped for guess what?? NO
food at a little place called Mullaley, 9kg bottle of gas $24 and a 2 lit bottle of milk for $2.20. Not too shabby we thought for a small town. Nice little rest area with flushing loos, trees with tables and chairs and nice grass, rubbish bins, BBQ and the sign says drinking water but no access to fill big tanks just for a glass or two. Onwards for the night stop somewhere down the track a bit.. Hot with no cool wind either today

Dribbling along the highway when we see a sign saying Mendooran, so did a quick left turn to go and see if Bobr is hanging around tonight.. We are parked up in the large free camp area right on the edge of town, large area with loos and cold showers
(hmmm) Did a bit of a shop in Gunnadah but too hot for this old girl to walk too far so the G man had the honours. Saw one squashed brown snake on the road and the usual twat drivers that love to overtake on double lines
Q Is that a NSW trait as I have never seen it done so much as in this state (running for cover)
G has to ring his son tonight it's his 40th birthday. Tomorrow we shall go and see the town murals.

Did they have NSW number plates Dottie?

We enjoyed Gunnedah. Stayed at the low cost camp and had to fix our drinking water tank while there. Make sure you go up to pensioners hill (I think) great views and sculptures.

Depends on which way you are going next Dot, but there is a really good bakery in Dunedoo near the railway. If you are going the other way and heading towards Dubbo, have your camera ready when you get to Brocklehurst. There are some great sculptures in the paddock there.
Cheers

Dunno about the twat's overtaking on double lines Dot. Maybe its a "I hate buses" mentality thing. We haven't had that experience very often, but it is certainly very offputting when they come from nowhere and disappear as fast as they came. Stay safe Dot n George, that's all you can do.... oh yeah and keep the dream alive.
