Recommendations for Freecamp around Tanunda SA....please

Post by weezanickinoff »

We are leaving the cumfy, safe & friendly "camp" at Dot & George's Strathalbyn SA Monday-ish (17th) Want to spend some time in and around Tanunda SA, Light Pass in particular (Ancester history there) Have big rig, does anyone know of & recommend a good free camp there?
After that we want to explore all the pennisulars of around Adelaide SA.
Oh, I document on youtube, every camp spot (not CP's) we go to in our new adventure since leaving Albury NSW in end Oct 2012. So hopefully some may be useful to someone.
Not many so far, but every journey begins with a single step! or is that "stop"?
We have a 11 mt bus just under 3.6mt? high and we flat tow a 2 door suzuki.
Cheers Ash & Wendy

That is a wonderful idea Ash and Wendy that you film & upload each camp spot.
What size in MB's is the average one that you create?

HiGlenn,
It's Windows Live Movie Maker, really easy to use.

From a South Aussie, I would imagine finding a free camping spot in the Tanunda/Barossa Valley region could be very difficult if not impossible.
The region has quite a large population and is very touristy.
Yorke Peninsula could be difficult, particularly during the holiday season.
Eyre Peninsula should be ok, I think. :|
Let's know how you fare. :)
