Re: off for christmas
AM, no water at Pilliga Bore baths, that is drinking water, no taps, make sure you have water.

Re: off for christmas
Shirley are the Pilliga ones better than the Moree ones?
I guess the Moree ones cost as they're in the caravan park.
Are the Pilliga ones free?

Hi RosRos20549 wrote:The kettle is always on for anyone passing through Ballarat we are not far off the freeway so no excuses. Have a good trip and drop in while you are in Ballarat, just might have some lemon slice this time.

Might just ask the removals van to detour to the Murray via Ballarat in mid-January if that's an open invitation, Ros!

Might take you up on the cuppa as I might be through that way Tuesday or Wednesday on the way to the ferry as Brian is avoiding me, he's headed further north.

Re: off for christmas
We have not been to the Moree baths but as you say they are in the C.P. so there is a cost also Moree is a big place with everything you would want available.
The Pilliga baths are free but really there is nothing at Pilliga, a pub, one local takeaway that sells some supplies & a P.O. one needs to arrive with full water tanks & pantry full, also no fuel available in the town when we last visited, saying that it is a nice place to spend a few days soaking in the pool as long as it doesn't rain the ground is black dirt & does get boggy, the area is large & fenced, there are 2 septic toilets & an outdoor shower, the pool now has a roof over it.

Re: off for christmas
Hi AM.... The cold shower was out of action also one toilet when we passed through in early October. Better to stay during the week as the local kids often come late at night over the weekend and party. We try and park way down the back. As I said beware if it rains you may be stuck there for days while the ground dries out, other than its a great place.
