It didn't work!
Whilst over here in WA we had a couple of downpours &, you guessed it, it leaked again.
Fortunately, whilst passing time at Goomalling, we met & became good friends with another couple, Greg & Gail, whilst they were also in the same van park. They have since moved down to Albany & we caught up with them again a few days ago & mentioned about the leaky hatch. He promptly contacted a new caravan repair place there, that also does a liquid roof sealant, & booked us in for the morning of the day we were due to arrive in Albany.
They were pretty bloody good, stopped the other jobs they were working on & spent nearly all day on our van, cleaning a lot of the old crap from around the hatch & found 2 areas where the water was still gaining access even with all that shit the other mob put around it!!!

They then mixed up some of the liquid roof sealant & painted that around the base of the hatch to seal it, hopefully permanently. As the sealant requires some time to cure completely, they suggested we stay there overnight - with power - & they could then complete the final touches in the morning. Done deal.
They charge $88 p/h & my watch indicated the worked from 0930 - 1700 on Monday then again from 0800 - 0930 on Tuesday... 9 hours, cost was $553. Reckon that's around $64 p/h.
Nice people too, Dad (Alan) & Dave (Son) both with a great sense of humor.

So if you're in the area & looking for a good team to work on your RV, I can highly recommend them.
