If you need to move the bus you can connect up the air hose direct, but avoid driving too far as one wheel's suspension will be at full height. When you get the valve off, check if there is a sintered bronze filter in the supply line. If there is, a can of carby cleaner, spraying it from the inside out and let it sit in the pool for 10 mins, a blast with air from the inside out and repeat the process till the air flows easily through the valve, it might be all that is wrong with it.

hi Jon George here, from my experience if disassembling be very careful to note the position of any parts. (from experience)

No problem there Dot, Bruce was in charge of not losing any parts, and he did an admirable job. Well done Bruce.

Bruce arrived this morning just as I undid the last bolt (thought I saw him across the road waiting for me to finish the dirty work :) )

A drive around the City of Kingston Se brought us to the fully equipped workshop of ex-jockey, and all round good guy Tony.

We managed to disassemble every part, test clean , adjust and reassemble. Safe to say we are now experts on Neway Air Bag Levellers for future reference. For those technically minded like Dot, the shaft had siezed, it is driven by an arm that makes contact to the shaft by a nylon plunger, and in the progress opens one of two needle valves. Whatever we did obviously worked, not only on the work bench, but after assembly on the vehicle, and a small adjustment to the control arm the back left corner now sits up proudly.

I can thoroughly recommend that if you must break down, Kingston se is the right place to do it.

Now...while I was down there I found I need a new tyre. There's always something wearing out. :)

p.s. Thanks Bruce!
