After a week at Southport moved to Hobart had to wait a week till they could do the service on the Ford Ranger. Then off to Triabunna with Geoff, Sharon and James [Bob Le Bago]. We had dinner in the pub as they were leaving next day for Coles Bay and I was going on the boat trip around Maria Island [good weather and good trip]. After the trip I decided to go to Coles Bay but unable to get into the NP camping areas [too big] finally got in contact with Geoff [he had the same problem, too small for the bus and toad]. they had moved on to "Chain of Lagoons" camping area so I went and joined them there.

Well I left the "Chain of Lagoons" and went to St Helens via St Marys [lunch on the paddle wheeler on the wharf] then to Bay of Fires and stayed at "The Gardens". Then over the mountains to Pyengana [cheese factory] then to "The Pub in The Paddock" the St Columba Hotel Dinner there and stayed in the parking area, the resident guest is "Princess Prisilla, the Pig in the pub in the Pub in the Paddock. Left there this morning and went to St Columba Falls [the highest in Tas] big walk for me. Stopped at Weldborough pub to taste some of the 9 small brewery beers and ciders. Off to Scottsdale [lunch in the "Lords" hotel] then on to Bridport, where I have settled in to the CP for 3 nights [facing Bass Straight].

Left Bridport for Longford CP after checking out Old Macs Farm & Evandale. Went on a cruise on the Tamar River [morning tea, lunch wine tasting etc] 4 hours for $110. Very good!
Found a barber shop in Launceston feel cleaner now. Fifth Wheeler Network report of a 5th wheeler [American] at Berridale CP that was overturned 3 times by the wind the other day. Awning was out [facing the wind] looking out down the water way for about 10K, and the slide out was out the other side [centre of Gravity moved] and the wind hit 125K/H. Photo's were in their news letter.

Geoff was unavailable as still problem with his Bedford.
Went into Ulverstone to laundry and saw the owners, Robert and Karen both did the Safari to Cape York with me last year. Saw Geoff this afternoon has parts ordered for tomorrow.
I will be off line for a few days I'm off to King Island till Tuesday. Hope to park the 5'er in Gary and Rachell's yard at Wynyard [they were on the CY Safari too].

I'm back, after four days on King Island in the Roaring 40's where I had been on a "King Island Experience Tour" stayed at a motel and toured the island in a OKA [4x4] bus along beaches, back stock routes, Ship wrecks [many], 3 light houses, as far North and as far South one could go. Each day supplied with a "picnic" lunch. On day in a NP we had white table cloths Hot KI roast beef, greens and potatoes. Another day [same set up but different NP] hot Rack of Lamb, roast Sweet potatoes and veg, both days also sweets, wine or beer. Meals served at night Leather Jacket wrapped in Panchetta light salad Blue cheese sauce. [an entree was each night]. Sweets, rolled Pavlova & fruit salad, Large Crayfish with a beautiful sauce [all products local on island].
I would recommend this tour to all as it was a great experience.

Hi Peter, that trip sounds great, good value by the sound of it.
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
