Another Generator Recall

Post by 2foot6 »

I have now put these two generator items in the right section.Sorry for the duplication, but these are important topics.

Generator recall
Some generators sold through out Australia by Total Tools have been recalled due to risk of electric shock. The brand names are DETROIT and SABER . The model numbers are-

# YW8000HECO

# DFD3000HS2

The problem appears to be with the M.E.N. circuitry

Contact Total Tools for adjustments required to the generator.

This information is on the ACCC web recall alert web page.Worth while subscribing to and its free.

HI
The problem is not M.E.N But E.N
They have made an internal connection between a LINE & the case /outlet earth pin
The Generator is NOW NOT an isolated supply [ potentially very dangerous]
Such ARE not approved in Aus, unless permanently fitted with a RCD
