Before you send him out Dot, every clock, TV, microwave, etc., will have to be reset afterwards. Electrocution may be an easier option.
HI Steve
If you have loss of supply as often as we have ,you become quite happy with just one or two clocks
I have not bothered resetting the clocks on any mains device for many years

A couple of battery erated clocks are MORE reliable & less problem ;) :)

I don't know why, but even though there are a myriad of clocks in the MH, phones, ipads, computers, cameras, etc., I still set the microwave clock whenever 240v is plugged in! I probably should see my doctor!

No need Steve - doctor dawg at your service and I can tell you that on keyboard evaluation (say ahhh) that you are suffering from ADHD in this area. Pleeze see the secretary on the way out to settle your account.

I (the female) of the house went out and pressed the little yellow button, the switch went to off so I then flipped it back to on so I guess what ever it was worked and didn't zap me... :D

Dot, It looks like you have just promoted yourself to be the official RCD tester person. See, it's not that hard. Most statutory bodies recommend testing monthly.
If you want to piss off your neighbours, go over to their place at about midnight and test their RCD for them.
Every house should have an RCD fitted by now. If you don't have one fitted, get one.
The one at my house has saved my FIL twice now. Both times he whinged when the power went out while making toast. Both times I caught him with a knife in the toaster. Silly old bugger.
Cheers

Bruce

In your posting of 15th Feb. you said you had a testing device that you used in each outlet and that it also gave you three readings of leakage.

I have a tester but it is not as comprehensive as yours seems to be.

Would you please give the name of it and where you bought it (assuming of course you did not make it yourself).
