Q/ What do the SD/SDHC etc mean and if someone can have a peep at the kogan site can you tell from their write up if this camera has the time and date capabilities?

the SD stands for secure digital the HC stands for high capacity and the XC is xtended capacity

Be a bit careful with the XC cards as well as the bigger ones.
A lot of the cameras and phones etc were not made to accept the XC or bigger capacity cards.
Try to buy with 'right of return if not compatible" or have a lend of someone else's for testing before you buy them.

My camera has a SDHC 32GB card, never had a problem

Mine just has a small one - & I'm used to that!

And it doesn't have a prostate either.

Make sure you get a class 10 one as the class 4 that came with mine would not work properly.
