Something to get you thinking

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Something to get you thinking

Post by T1 Terry »

I thought I'd start up a thread where we can look at possible future outcomes from the huge revolution that is developing around us.
So here is a starter topic to see how it goes:
Robotics, from Isaac Asimov's science fiction stories to reality, the personal robot. [url][http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e4z4RfnKS0/url]
This explores a very real future we could all be facing as we age, who will take care of us, something to think about
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves

If I end up in a nursing home with a robot nurse to look after me, I hope I won't be expected to give it a grease and oil change!
8-)

Although I'd enjoy my last days if it was the chirpy girl robot from Bicentennial Man! :D

skynet is becoming aware?? (thats a quote from the "terminator" movies)

Its a fantastic time coming for sure but there are glaring failures as well.
Honda has some on-going long term testbeds happening and the Japanese chase things which end up looking slightly creepy
I am getting stuck into multi-rotor models, they are great fun. Its a synergy being pushed by fantastic new sensors, faster processing speed, better batteries (T1 !!) and unbeleivable new DC motors.

But then you can still lose a whole jet-liner in the middle of on of the most populous area's of the world.

Should be a fun time anyways :D
