Drove to Albury RTA to pick up form for periodic medical test [over seventy five] they would not accept the photo copies sent to me. Went to the local doctors clinic " sorry we do not do that form unless you are a regular. Back to RTA for letter, either to tell docs they can do it or a letter to defer it till May. Sorry cant do either.
Rand a doc in Wodonga yes come around. He filled in most then said you must go to an optometrist, so found one Tomorrow, found another OK. Back to the docs he fills in the rest of the form [$75] not available on medicare. [eye test was].
Time then was 1730 hours to late for the RTA. So parked at rear of the Docs till the morning.

Peter I think they do that deliberately to see if you'll give up & buy a gopher!
Tests the patience though I bet.
Hang in there........ you'll need it to get to Walker Flat!!

Hi all, I'm camped at Corowa Country Golf Club with the rest of the Safari. We will be here for 3 days [TFS nights] all went on a wine tour today 3 wineries [including lunch at one, then to a chocolate factory [yummy] dinner in the club tonight. Washing day tomorrow [some want to play golf] then off Rutherglen to meet up with an old friend with a motor home named "Girt".
Just realised that I did'nt tell you we stayed at Walwa Golf Club [Jingellic was full] we rang them and in five minutes arranged for 22 MHs to camp there and they put on a huge BBQ for us. Then we stayed in a CP [prison]at Hume Weir, then here.

Well the Safari is almost over. After leaving Rich River Golf Club we moved to Lake Boga CP a lovely spot beside the lake with showers and toilets [Catalena museum here worth looking at]. Up thru Swan Hill [best pioneer village I've seen]. Then on to Tooleybuc Club, Just in time for a weekend Country Music Festival. Moving on then to the Rally at Robinvale for a week. After which we moved to the Euston club [we christened the new RV area [level lawn, water and power join the club $2.20 and the fees are $5 p/n + $5 for power].
Good dinner in club.
We moved on to Wentworth CP [waterfront], toured on a boat thru a lock to the actual junction of the Murray and the Darling Rivers. Supposed to go on a tour to Mungo NP but it rained so had to cancel. Toured the town instead, old jail, museum and the best furniture/hardwhere shop, they still had stock form the 1800s for sale.
Down into SA to Lyrup o/n then to Cadell football ground off again thru Swan Reach to Mannun CP.stayed two nights bus tour to Birdswood [The Australian Motor Museum spent three hours in side could have spent another three] then on tho the Giant Rocking Horse [some people had to buy toys to take home.
Today at Murray Bridge Race Course where we will have a dinner tonight [ and a large auction of goodies that we have gathered on the tour, all proceeds to the RFDS, then off to Goolwa tomorrow, a boat trip on the Coorong a final dinner and it's all over.
Would I do it again YES will do it next year, lots of fun and sight seeing these Safari's are the way to go.
