Ensay has a bit of history. Interesting area. Mining ghost towns, the old pub.....

Have fun!

Our night in Ensay was great would recommend a stop over great place , great people and a great meal, camping not large could be a challenge for some rigs. We are now camped on the banks of the Tambo River at Tambo Crossing ( found this spot on wiki camps) just beautiful had a lot of rain overnight but the sun is now out and we are making the most of it will post a few photo in a day or two when I have more power. Boss been fishing but alas the fish won  the funniest sight yet when he had a huge bit while the rod was unattended made a run for it only to see the fish taking off with hook line and sinker in tow never to be seen again   only problem was it was my rod I am still laughing . BOSS not a happy camper . We move again tomorrow have a few things to do in Bairnsdale.

Cheers Ros and the BOSS

This is at Tambo River Crossing. Beautiful spot found it on Wiki Camps about 60km from Bairnsdale on the The Great Alpine Road no facilities but what a spot, room for a few vans and could fit a couple of big buses although ground a little uneven in places . We have been here two days

We love that spot! It's a spot we try to stop at every time we head that way. Enjoy!

Well at long last an update of our tripping around after we left Tambo Crossing we had a few days in Bairnsdale to sort out a few things with our friends from centre-link seeing as I am about to become of pension age, :o then it was onto Lakes Entrance for about 5 days with a visit from SIL and Hubby who were on their maiden voyage with their new van. From there we headed to Marlo where I have some rallies so free parking for a couple of weeks, the plan was to catch a few fish but our weather was not the best we stayed for 3 weeks and only had about 4 fine days. On one of the days we took a 4X4 trip up onto the Nunniong High plains whow what a day, drove some amazing tracks glad we went as passengers and not driving our own car. Saw some high country cattle and a couple of high country huts, fabulous day.
BUT due to all the rain we have come home a week early, mainly due to the fact that our van has sprung some more leaks as you mostly all know this has been an ongoing problem for us this van is only just over two years old, so as they say" NOT HAPPY JAN." not good when you go to get a top out of your overhead cupboard to find that you can ring the water out of it. So the journey begins again  we are in DISCUSSIONS with the Dealership to see what we can agree on, and what they are prepared to do for us... Because at this stage this van is unfit for purpose so we wait and see, its going in next week for a quote and inspection as they have requested..
( A couple of photo's of Marlo and on our way to the high plains.)

Cheers Ros

We've had torrential rain too, and would be VERY ANGRY :x  if the caravan was leaking! We Hope it gets sorted out SOON. Contrary to what some people think, we do get lots of rain down here ....we came back to our place in Grantville to find a muddy quagmire where we normally park the car.

Normally we are up north this time of year!

Take care
