Hedland Shire--WHEEL CLAMPS

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hedland Shire--WHEEL CLAMPS

Post by Keith Morris »

FOR YOUR INFORMATION AND CAUTION

I just heard on the ABC REGIONAL NEWS that the Hedland Shire are to consider using WHEEL CLAMPS on unauthorised campers/motorhomers/caravans in the Hedland Shire.
Campers at PRETTY POOL were mentioned and also others within the town.
The lady Mayor made a speach about unauthorised campers and Caravan Parks being available for tourists.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Apparently they do not want the traveling folk to visit their shire with that attitude, we can just keep on going to other places that want our money & welcome us.

All you have to do is jack up the van take the wheel off and put the spare on and drive away with their wheel clamp.

Some clamps have a centre plate to prevent access to the wheel nuts for precisely this reason...

I'd like to see their clamp to fit my 19.5" wheels... and the 20" wheels on some of the converted coaches...
Given the heavy steel the 'normal' clamps are made from, I reckon they'd get two into a ute, and need a small crane to lift them out!

I'd have no problems driving past PH, wasn't overly impressed with the place during our initial visit in 2007,

Nope, won't loose any sleep over that!!

Should one pack the 125mm angle grinder for the WA venture?
