Anyone got any ideas on the solarscreen type stuff for the driving cab windows.
Looking for both privacy and insulation for 8 windows so any ideas would be appreciated.
Must be easily removable. Tried the solarscreen people but they only use suction cups, I need to use velcro because of where I am attaching it.
Cheers
William

Do you want it to go on the inside or outside ?

William,
Suggest you look at car type silver reflectors, cut them to size and use stick on/ or rubber glue on, Velcro. couple of weeks ago Supa Cheap have large reflectors for around $5.99 and small for $4.99.

Re: Reflective material for cab windows
"tanks" here--- I recall reading on one of the forums about getting the insulation bubble-wrap that is around Dan Murphy's pallets and other places from a dump bin at the rear of the store before the bin was emptied. He (whoever -possible Budget Barry- I'm not sure} used a sewing machine to sew and edge several thicknesses together with a cloth edge for reinforcing the stitching to make window shade/insulation panels for his rig. From memory, and this is failing as I get older, the finished item worked well.
I do know that the pre-made silver type, padded about 7 layers thick, shade/temp things that are sold for specific vehicles are very pricey.

Re: Reflective material for cab windows
William, There is a product called 'Green Stuff' or something like that. It is used for insulating the inside of sheds etc. It is reasonably cheap compared to the solar screen option. A mate of mine has it inside his campervan. He just sticks it up with velcro. Try your local shed place. It is available in 3 different grades. If you can't find it let me know and I will have a search when I get a better connection next time I move camp.

Re: Reflective material for cab windows
Hi William and Keith. This is probably what David was telling you about, we have used it inside our walls along with a wool insulation.
My wife Carol when we use it for windows cuts it to shape then sews a material edge around the perimeter, hope this helps.
In most cases we don't have any suction cups or such they just fit neat.
G'day to you as well David.
Bernie.
